Camping Marvilla Parks - La Croix du Vieux Pont garners praise for its proximity to Disneyland Paris, creating a convenient hub for theme park enthusiasts. However, the location's cleanliness and amenity completion have been points of contention. Visitors enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, though the accompanying noise has been a drawback for some. Despite a range of family-friendly amenities, concerns about their upkeep have surfaced. Service experiences vary, with commendations for staff friendliness contrasting reports of inefficiency. Guests also debate the value, finding services overpriced. Room cleanliness and maintenance are recurrent criticisms, despite some finding their accommodations ample and agreeable.

We are coming to end of a week stay with our family. 14 of us in total and all in all, we have had an excellent week. Before coming, I read some really bad reviews and was really considering cancelling our trip.
On arrival, one of our caravans was available early (the premium one), the other was not yet ready. We had arrived before the 3pm check in time, so no complaints. The customer service rep was very helpful, took my number and told me she would call when the second caravan was ready.
The premium one is great. It was clean, came with bedding and towels and AC. Our only gripe is that we didn’t have enough plates or cutlery or glasses/cups for our booking size. I did go to guest relations to get this resolved. They said someone would bring more. They never have. But we resolved this ourselves by buying some cheap reusable plates and cutlery from the supermarket (not the one on site, but the Inter Marche about 10 mins down the road).
The other caravan that our party booked (the Comfort XL) was ready by 4pm and they called to tell us. Unfortunately this was filthy, the sofa bed didn’t work, the travel cot was dirty and broken and the caravan was boiling. I went to reception, they were helpful, offering remedies but none of this was done. No one came to re-clean. We did get a brand new travel cot. We cleaned ourselves and made the most of it.
The on-site activities are good (absailing, trapeze, rock climbing, bowling, soft play) are fairly priced I think and really good for the kids.
The pools are great but there are few lifeguards so be cautious and observant of children.
I have seen other complain of the campsite being dirty and smelly. We didn’t see that. We found it to be clean and pleasant.
The staff were really helpful but I do feel that management aren’t supporting them to get things done.
I found the food to be really good. It was fairly priced and tasty. We didn’t eat out a lot as we used the BbQ lots of nights but when we did, I wasn’t surprised by the price but was surprised by the quality.
Overall, we have had a great week. Really loved family time and would definitely recommend.

The previous reviews on here really made me worry, as this was our first time to the site and first time doing this type of holiday. - at one point I even considered cancelling.
I'm not a usual reviewer but wanted to out way all the negativity with our experience.
I didn't need to worry, the site was great, exactly as the website described, clean, tidy, excellent facilities and friendly, helpful staff, our children thoroughly enjoyed it.
If your looking for a campsite which has it all then this is the place, the pools were brilliant, the lagoon made a perfect safe alternative to a beach meaning we didn't miss being by the seaside either.
The kids clubs are ran every day and the entertainers appear to love what they are doing.
We used most of the facilities on offer and couldn't fault any of them.
The accommodation was spacious, clean and had everything we could need. The enclosed decking area was extremely welcomed as it kept our toddler safe and the outside garden area was ideal for the older children.
We would 100% visit here again and will look into other campsites of a similar nature based on this stay.

We stayed in a 4 bed accessible wooden cabin which was VERY CREAKY and not a lot of privacy - we could hear each other from other rooms. It was wheelchair accessible, which was perfect for us. The wet room with shower chair was most useful. There were basic supplies but there was no mop head, just the mop handle. I bought a new mop head from the local supermarket. The website (Eurocamp) said a tv was included, yes we had the tv but nothing to watch on it! But the Eurocamp office lent us some dvds to watch.

Really unhappy that the cleaning wasn’t included in the price as in previous years. We left the accommodation cleaner than we found it. The previous family had left a dirty plaster on the bathroom floor… I bought bleach from the supermarket to clean the toilets, and packed anti bac wipes. There was no dustpan and brush so I swept the floor and did my best to pick it up by hand. The bath was surrounded with mould - I just couldn’t bring myself to get in it.

We went to the swimming pool on site. The swimwear rules weren’t the same as the website so I’ve included a photo of the sign. Take flip flops - the floors are very dirty!
Bring €1 for the locker (refundable). The jacuzzi and outdoor pool were cold. The main indoor pool was warm.

We did enquire about the teen meet that my youngest wanted to attend, but no staff around seemed to know where it was being held so we gave up, which was a shame.

The local shop stocks most things you need, and the bakery is wonderful. We miss having freshly made croissants and pain au chocolat! They also sold lovely big red shiny apples, me and my children enjoyed these.

In the local area we found a pharmacy which we needed to make two purchases from. They spoke English and were very helpful. There’s an Intermarché about 4 mins drive from the camp site, they sell everything you need plus fuel (€1.88 per litre of E10).

I would stay on this site again, we came here for 3 nights of relaxation following 3 nights on site at Disneyland Paris. The views were beautiful and if we’d had more time, we would’ve explored the mini golf, table tennis and the pedal boats. I would opt for a different accommodation, as a previous reviewer has mentioned, the cabins are covered in grime and need jet washing at the beginning of the season. And as beautiful as the wooden lodges looked on the website, they were just so creaky and noisy! I’d also hope the standards of cleanliness improves.

We had high expectations. However, it was very disappointing.

Upon arrival our mobile home would be ready. When we received the key and drove to the caravan they had just started cleaning and we waited another 30 minutes. When we entered there was visibly no mopping. There were still hairs in the shower and the whole house smelled of cleaning vinegar. On the gravel field in front of our porch were still cigarettes, cotton buds, beer caps etc. Because of the strict checklist about how clean you have to leave the house you can also expect it to be delivered as you enter. We left the cottage cleaner than when we combed.

The first night it was freezing cold because the heating didn't work. Fortunately, it could be turned on from the day after.
In addition, apart from the swimming pool, almost everything is for a fee; the WiFi, fishing (which is not mentioned either on the website), bouncy castle, trampolines etc. It is not correct that they do not mention this properly on the website!!

The caravan does not provide the right contents. All different glasses, but 1 small spoon, 4 forks when the cottage should be for 8 people. In addition, the furniture outside was extremely dirty and some chairs even broke.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We will not return so soon.

Mixed bag review i would say. We have been to this site 2 times before and have loved it in the past. This time we enjoyed aspects of it but got the feeling that since it has been taken over by Marvilla Parks that it has become too large an operation and some aspects of the site aren't as good as they were before! On arrival after our 12 hour journey from the north England we were directed to our caravan. We got inside to find a broken bed, the shower head in the bathroom had come off and the floor was filthy! Also not that we were that bothered but the advertised TV in the caravan was actually just a TV mount with no TV on it! If you find your caravan with a TV bracket but no Telly do complain as they will give you 5 euros a day as compensation. To their credit i told the reception staff and the site maintenance and cleaners came and sorted it sharpish. The facilities on the site are pretty good, we enjoyed use of the bar, takeaway, shop, bakery, restaurant, swimming pool, kids playground and lagoon/bar. They are all pretty decent, maybe a little bit expensive for drinks and takeaway but not extortion! The thing that ruined it for me is you are expected to leave the caravan absolutely spotless, they even want you to mop the floor and strip the beds before you go. This to me is the job of the cleaning staff not the customer, we always leave our accommodation in a good state wherever we go but I thought mopping the floor was a bit too much to expect! Presumably they are cutting corners and trying to get away with the bare minimum as far as cleaning staff. The other thing I found strange is we booked with Eurocamp but didn't see a Eurocamp rep all week. I've been going on this type of France campsite holiday for as long as I can remember and have always seen the reps at least once during our trip. All in all we had a good week and I would come again, hopefully the few negatives will be noted and taken onboard for future visitors.

As a long weekend to take advantage of the August 15 bridge, we spent 4 days camping in a pitch, in a caravan + a tent.

The positive points, beautiful aquatic area, slides (too bad the children weren't able to enjoy the rapids), outdoor swimming pool, bubble bath. The numerous bars, the children's play park, the ponds, the lagoon, the pitches, the Aisne which passes at the end of the very pleasant path. The grocery store has everything at the same price as in other campsites, for emergency purposes it's great.
The bakery +++ good bread.
On the negative side, the toilets, in fact we had gone to the large barbecues and the nearest toilets (reception side) are aging, you have to lock the door for the light to come on... when it works, the dishes it must be done while it is light outside, in fact because there is still no light, only one sink provides hot water (our English friends were very grateful that I told them this detail) the toilets flush water does not always work... I always talk about the toilets on the reception side, in fact we visited the other installations (sanitary facilities) which are much more recent and maintained.
The bar and snack bar, the prices are high, even employees do not hesitate to point this out to us (it has increased significantly compared to last year).
Having taken advantage of the fishing ponds, and fishing all year round, I can say that the fishing day is also too high. 20€ a day, 10€ a half and 60€ a week, 10 euros a day would do the trick and 60€ a week would be much more interesting for people passing through (like us 😉).

In conclusion, we still had a pleasant stay, the small inconveniences did not affect them.
The facilities are really great, the campsite and the staff are really nice. We had the chance to meet some wonderful people. We were able to fully enjoy the activities thanks to the weather.
If the campsite's wish is to keep pitches then you just need to review these few points, and you will be more and more happy.

Another attempt here to counteract the miserable reviews some people have left. Our experience at this park was mostly great - our Premium Azure lodge was a bit dusty under the beds, but was otherwise clean, felt new and everything was in working order. There was no oven, which was a pain, so make sure you check your facilities if you need to cook for little ones etc. We had a great spot backing onto the fishing lake, with direct access so my daughter could feed the friendly ducks every morning, which she loved, and watch the pedallos go by from the terrace.

The site itself was mostly very smart and tidy. The facilities were great, we loved the bumper boats etc and they are reasonably priced in my opinion. But one drawback is how late the pools open - 10.30/11 is far too late for anyone with small kids or toddlers and I was a bit surprised by this late start. It meant we had long mornings to fill before we could swim and enjoy the nice weather.

Other than that, the fact we visited after the UK school holidays meant the pools weren’t too busy and there was a nice mix of nationalities around the park. The staff were all friendly, especially the entertainment staff, and seemed efficient - I often saw them cleaning and tidying litter dropped by other guests.

I would really recommend this site for families looking for a big busy park with lots to do. If you’re after a more traditional, old school, sleepy Eurocamp experience, a smaller park might be better.

Very Disappointed with Eurocamp.
After driving from North Yorkshire to Dover and then onto Berny Riviere in France there was no Eurocamp representative to welcome us, instead there was a campsite rep standing in the carpark handing out a pack which included a map of where our accommodation was situated on site and the key for the property. We had to find our own way there. There was no welcoming introduction to the property or showing us around it but they made sure that we understood that we had to make sure the property was cleaned before we left by way of a reminder leaflet in the pack and also one stuck on the wall in the property so not only do we have to pay for our accommodation but we have to clean it for them as well. Don’t have to do that if we stay in a hotel or B&B!
Once we found our accommodation our first impression was not great. The wooden decking area looked weather beaten and neglected. Same goes for the outside furniture.
Inside wasn’t much better. It looked rather tired and uncared for. There were a couple of cooling fans one of which was covered in dust.
In the shower room there was a rusty old radiator and the shower itself was old and stained.
We found cobwebs above the refrigerator and in the corners of the rooms so had to clean before we could get settled in.
After a couple of days we heard a running water sound from underneath the property. On inspection we found that this was a water leak coming from under where the boiler was situated. We reported the problem twice and twice a member of staff came round to inspect it but nothing was ever done about repairing it.
We found that the boiler was constantly running (obviously due to the water leak) and came to the conclusion that this was the reason that we had to order two replacement gas bottles during our weeks stay. The leak itself didn’t bother us too much but the constant humming of the boiler 24/7 throughout our stay was somewhat annoying.
Overall our stay at La Croix du Vieux Pont was satisfactory with the park having ample and adequate facilities for all.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for Eurocamp and their facilities. Their accommodation was old and tatty. There were no actual English speaking Eurocamp representatives on site to go to to report problems or to get advice or even just to have a chat. Just very disappointing for to us and for such a well renowned operator to have fallen so low. They need to get their act together.
We will not be holidaying with them again and will look for another operator in the future.

Dear Graham, We thank you for having taken the time to post such a detailed review. We are deeply disappointed to read that this stay did not meet your expectations. In order to simplify formalities as much as possible and to minimise waiting time, our welcome procedure does not include systematic accompaniment to the rental property. It is important to report any problems quickly so that the team can intervene if necessary. We have taken your comments very seriously and will use them to target our next improvements. Depending on the campsite, our courriers may be British or natives of the destination country. However, many members of staff speak English. We hope to have the chance of a next visit from you, which will be an opportunity for us to let you start again with a much better feeling. Kind regards, The Team La Croix du Vieux Pont

I booked this for my family for August 24. We had paid £1600 for a “premium lodge”

When we arrived I couldn’t believe how cramped the inside was. In the main bedroom there wasn’t even enough room to walk around the double bed. The mattress was stained and the whole place smelt damp. There was no water pressure or hot water and ants coming through the toilet floor

Having an easily bored 9 and 15 year old with us, we had paid for a TV but there wasn’t one, just an empty bracket screwed to the wall.

When we spoke to customer services they just shrugged and said they didn’t have any TV’s to give us. When we asked to move properties they just shrugged and said they didn’t have any. and it was a regular problem. And in regard to the hot water they would send someone out.

When the maintenance guy came out, he didn’t speak English or have a clue. Just ran the hot tap, pressed a few buttons on the boiler and shrugged

We ended up having cold showers for the next 3 days. In the end, we had enough and booked an air B&B just to have some comfort and a hot shower.

The standards of cleanliness across the park was disgusting, the pool toilets and changing rooms smelt and were full of faeces and dirty nappies.

Would never come back to this place again and will be expecting a refund or I will be taking legal action as they have not provided the basic services they advertise

A little too not cheap and cheerful for a Eurocamp.

I booked a comfort 3XL which didn’t appear to be the cheapest accommodation on the site at over £200 a night but having walked around the site it definitely appeared to be the worst in terms of garden space, amenities and location.

I was under the impression that although you are required to leave the accommodation clean it would be properly cleaned by cleaners. I very much doubt this happens as the floor was covered in sand and hair balls which the sweaty crawling baby got covered in. We also found empty crisp packets behind sofa cushions and the remains of the last tenants dinner in the frying pan.

We booked this as it had two toilets for our family of 5. Shame that one of the toilets was missing a toilet seat and despite mentioning this at reception and being assured it would be replaced that never happened. So we only had use of the one toilet.

The other thing that attracted me was eating breakfast and lunch out on the terrace. Sadly due to the fact that ours appeared to be the only home missing an umbrella outside and the sun was very strong this never happened. Again, this was mentioned at reception and promised to replace but didn’t happen.

The sofa was also covered in crumbs from the last tenants stay. Bleugh

All in all not somewhere weI will return to in a hurry as I think for the price we could have stayed somewhere much nicer and cleaner.

That said, the price is probably for all the activities there are for children and the extra curricular activities are fairly priced. The children loved it as they don’t see things such as dirt from previous tenants.

My cricked neck from the horrific beds and pillows will be a reminder for myself unfortunately for the near future. Just glad we booked only a few nights instead of a week as I couldn’t wait to leave.
