A traditional pub with over two hundred years of history. The Three Horseshoes is located in the beautiful countryside of the South Downs National park in East Worldham, just outside Alton. Friendly and welcoming, The Three Horseshoes is hugely popular with walkers, families and with dog owners. Inside the comfortable pub has roaring log fires and flickering candles in winter. In the summer, there is a beautiful walled garden - hidden away for you to relax in the sunshine, savouring a long cool drink. Its mature shrubs, surrounded by the old forge outbuildings, offer a peaceful world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Three Horseshoes' menus are of the highest quality, balancing the hearty flavours of good traditional British eating with a more refined approach, the result being sophisticated but satisfying dishes to suit all tastes. Wherever possible the kitchen sources produce locally for use in not only the main menu but in light bites , daily changing specials and home-made traditional desserts. For those travelling to dine, you might consider booking a room for the night - The Three Horseshoes provides five letting rooms and space for motor-homes in the car park.

Proper pub run by a good bloke. We have eaten food at another pub the chef has worked at and enjoyed his cooking so followed him to his next venue. Food is proper pub food had a great mixed game meat platter. Found a shotgun pellet in it which you can only expect with locally sourced game but they were hugely apologetic and wiped all the drinks off the bill! At least we know we got some proper grub!!! Pheasant and partidge from round the corner

Friendly welcome at this traditional pub. The food was really great, but the service was a bit slow as the kitchen was short staffed. Food was definitely worth waiting for, but it may be a good idea to let customers know about the delays. I am sure most would understand and would appreciate the issue. That aside, very good indeed!

There is nothing I can fault at The Three Horseshoes. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive, and truly care about your experience. The food choices are great and the food itself is amazing. Generous portions cooked to perfection. I can definitely recommend the brownie for pudding if it is on the menu at the time of your visit. Apparently my face was a picture from the first mouthful, I was lost in a moment. Will definitely be returning and recommending.

Met up with a good friend for lunch at this beautiful old Inn. As soon as we entered the bar area we got the most friendly welcome from Ian-who served us with both food and drinks throughout our visit. We both chose the liver dish from the main menu-it was absolutely delicious as were our desserts. The service and food were excellent and really makes this place stand out. We will be re-visiting as soon as possible.
