On September 7, 2016, my partner and I had a chance to stay at Draxler Gasthof, a family-run establishment. We were biking our way from Passau to Vienna along the Danube. This was our first stop and were very pleased with this hotel. We loved the location and our room, which had a great view of the river and an...

We stayed at this place on the first night of our bike trip from Passau to Vienna. It is a traditional inn right on the Danube with a picturesque beer garden/restaurant on the edge of the river. It was perfect for us after our first day of cycling. Very welcoming, extremely friendly staff and we felt right at home. Our...

My wife and I cycled from Passau to Vienna and stayed at this lovely inn on Day 1. The town is about 30 to 45 minutes from Schloegen. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room itself was clean and we were lucky to get one with a lovely view of the river. We didn't have dinner at...

We had the rooms on the first floor (I think 32 and 34) that were newer and barrier free. Sunny, spacious, well designed, looking over the garden outside with flowers. We had dinner here as well and appreciated the English menu. The salad we had was OK—we came to learn that a typical German salad is lettuce, some pickled vegetables...

Arrived at 6PM and asked a staff lady if they have free rooms. The answer was "yes, of course, i call the manager" In 2 minutes the owner comes and after a scrutenizing look, she told us "no rooms!" without any other comment. After that she whispers something in german to the other woman. It was disappointing.

Lovely rooms, great location right on the Danube, and such friendly staff. Rooms aren't air conditioned but we were on the ground floor and the room was lovely and cool. Food is excellent, I would definitely recommend it!

I came to support my parents who were cycling the Danube from Passau to Wien. My mum has Alzheimer's and we had to rearrange part of the trip to help her. The staff, Monica and another lady, were incredibly helpful and supportive. They were very sensitive towards my mum and helped way above and beyond the call of duty. The...

Yes it has a lovely view from the room. However there are no frills and not even some basics at this hotel. For example I noticed no soap in the bathroom so I asked and they gave us two teeny bars but no shampoo. We asked for the wifi password and they charged us 2 euros each for a password...
