We spent a night here and ate here as well. The room we had was spacious and clean (and non-smoking), but the rest of the hotel and restaurant is filled with cigarette smoke, so you cannot avoid the onslaught upon entering or exiting. Service is minimal and largely perfunctory – I think they have more than enough guests over the...

If you enjoy the Danube river The Gasthof Luger Chalet is a great place to say. I could only wish this peaceful journey was in the USA. I would definitely come back. The staff is eager to please and help you with your questions. The food is delicious. The rooms in front have beautiful view of the river.

This place was fine for us to stay as we cycled along the Danube. The rooms were OK; a little bit stuffy in the hot summer. The restaurant was very nice and popular. The isolated location is good for a quiet night but don't come here expecting any night life.

This hotel is right on the bike path overlooking the Danube, we had rooms at the back that looked up into the forest - it was lovely and quiet. We had cycled in some very heavy rain and our gear was wet -the rooms have heaters which enabled us to get everything dry overnight. Wi Fi was fast. The verandah...

This place is literally in the middle of nowhere on the banks of the Danube. The 'village' consists of a few houses and is up the road. The rooms are quite small but they have balconies with furniture. The beds are ok, the bathrooms too. The wifi is temperamental and inconsistent. Breakfast was very forgettable

Location directly on the Danube cycle path. We had a room overlooking the Danube. We arrived very early - 11am! No problem. Room was ready for us. We were welcome to sit in the comfortable restaurant area for the day with benefit of enthusiastic service of food and drinks throughout. Although end of tourist season, restaurant was busy all day...

We had cycled 60 km from Vilshofen and were welcomed. Bikes kept overnight in garage though plenty of covered other bike storage. Double room with balcony view over Danube for €36! We are at restaurant. I had grilled catfish from river (though they grow their own) eating out under necessary shade of a walnut tree on a terrace. BBQ offered...

Arrived by bike in rain storm to a great welcome. No fuss checking in. First floor room with all facilities. Great view of the Danube from the hotel - which is only 50 yards from the river. Traditional Austrian hotel/Gasthof. Great evening meal on the veranda, and a traditional simple breakfast.

Not only was the service very unfriendly and even to the point of rudeness, breakfast was terrible: the buffet table had only 2 buns in the bun basket, no cooked eggs in the egg basket, and when we asked for eggs, only 2 for 4 people were plunked down in front of us. When we paid, there was no smile,...
