We use lots of budget hotels in France (to be honest we prefer the anonymity of a chain over a chambre d'hote; we're tired and don't want to chat). But we cheer up after a nice cup of tea and that's what is missing in this and other budgets. In-room tea/coffee making facilities, available in most u.k. hotels, would be...

This is a great hotel in that the staff are friendly and speak great English. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. They have a sizeable sitting room, TV, games room which again is mostly calm and people respect eachothers' time and space. The kitchen is excellent for the price. I find the service and the staff really agreeable....

This is a typical Ibis Hotel which has adequate rooms (undergoing constant renovation), helpful staff and very good rates. Our Silver Le Club Accor membership provided two welcome drinks. Parking is free and hotel is wonderfully quiet at night. Choose an even numbered room for silence. The bathroom has a small bath, is basic but sufficient. The restaurant is a...

Booked on line and on arrival found the reception/bar/lounge/dining area being refurbished. Absolute chaos, workman tools and building materials scattered around the 'reception' area and outside the main entrance. No lounge area as there was no furniture available and it was taped off; no bar seating, walls partially painted, dusty. Staff made no apology and we were not warned when...

We arrived at 11pm to a warm welcome, although mamselle somewhat overestimated my French and we spent an amusing few minutes trying our card in various doors before we found ours. The room was very clean, bed was comfy, and bathroom had a bath which was an unexpected bonus. The only negative was the lack of sockets: one for tv,...

Good restaurant facilities which is just as well as hotel not in town centre. However it is easy to find and is good when using Caen ferry. Would also be good as a base for visiting WWII sites. Although near main road and roundabout, it is quiet in rooms.

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Well situated off main road, close to 2 supermarkets and nearby town of Falaise. We were here as a group of 16 cyclists and staff were very helpful accommodating our requests. Breakfast was amazing, a wonderful selection. I understand that wi-fi was free but only for a limited time.

Ideally situated for a relaxing run for the Caen-Portsmouth ferry. Very friendly and helpful staff, good accommodation, very good evening meal and breakfast. Useful for exploring Falaise itself and Le Clerc and Lidl adjacent - very useful .

This hotel is a good value stopover destination on the way to or from Caen, Le Havre or Cherbourg. It's clean, comfortable and everything you would expect from an Ibis. It has a bar and dining on site and is a short drive to central Falaise where the Castle, church, Memorial des Civils Falaise and Automates Avenue are worth visiting.
