Its very well located in the center. It’s rather quite even if any one walking around above you will be easy to hear. It’s not at all fresh and modern and I assume that’s not what they are aiming to be. Brown and old is the design theme of the rooms. Bath room had no working ventilation and smelled of mold. Needs a renovation. Corridor and some rooms smell if bacon in the morning. I would not stay here again.
The room we revived was dirty, smelled and we had a big spider crawling on the bed. Then got moved from the fourth floor to the first, which was cleaner but still needed a refreshment. Though, the room was fine the experience wasn't. The room was placed right above the hotels backdoor, with employees slamming the door and having a chat and a smoke early in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. All in all bad experienice.
Stayed with a group of friends Thursday-Sunday. Reasonably good deal, nice and clean, positive service. Somewhat limited selection at breakfast. Very small room, with small television mounted so high up on the wall that it was actually impossible to view it when staying on the bed. Shower was out of soap first day, and increasingly visible attempts to get a refill all failed. The two last mornings I left the dispencer empty in the wash basin, but no replacement. Not good in these Corona times...
Clean and tidy rooms. Very basic but ideal for overnight stay. Decor could do with an upgrade, especially bathrooms in room. Restaurant only open Wednesday - Saturday which was unusual for a hotel, but decent restaurants nearby. Friendly staff.
A very good location, across the road from train station, few mins walk to castle, lake and town centre. Helpful Reception staff who speak good English. No kettles in the rooms, but a variety of teas, coffees , hot chocolate available from downstairs 24 hours a day The included breakfast buffet is excellent - cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread, cheese, cold meats, scrambled eggs, bacon, meat balls, pancakes, Danish pastries. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom has hair / body wash (no hairdryer as far as I could see). The only slightly strange thing is that they seem to make the beds with the duvets folded into three. Maybe there is some easy way to unfold them, but each night I ended up pulling all the bedding off to unfold the duvets into a useable position. In their folded up position, they only come up to your waist or if you pull them up, your legs stick out of the bottom. Overall, an excellent place to stay and I would happily come back here…
