Came late stayed one night. The hotel was larger than I expected. The room was ok, but smelled a bit. Just opened the window and it was ok for a night. The bathroom was fresh abd bed was good. Breakfast was ok, not very lot to choose from though.

Room was small, dark, no air conditioning and basic furnishings. On the plus side The staff were welcoming and helpful and it benefits from a good value gastro pub on site. Breakfast was good. Lots of free parking. The real plus is the location: opposite the train station with easy access to Aarhus; well situated for the lakes that surround the town and 2 minute walk from marina and boat tours etc. Huge supermarket over the road to stock up for picnics. The hotel isn't great but it helps you to have great holiday in this part of Denmark

We went for a one day stay including dinner, and had read few reviews recommending this place.
We fully agree, very nice and clean hotel, professional staff, decent room, lovely dinner and breakfast, as well we had lunch in their lunch/bar area and that was also perfect.
We will for sure come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ry. It's perfectly located in the center of town. The patio is splendid for relaxing and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. We'd recommend staying here! Plus, the restaurants are INCREDIBLE!

I booked a surprise stay for our wedding anniversary.
When we arrived the staff was very friendly and we got our room - a double room, but I had booked and paid for a superior double so the room was very disappointing in that aspect. To make the matter worse the bathroom was not properly cleaned. We said this in the reception, but they had no one on staff that was able to clean the room so we changed rooms. Still a standard double.
We hadn’t booked a table in the restaurant in advanced since I would let my husband decide.
We decided to reserve a table at Ry Gastropub. I booked a table online - when I got the confirmation I realized I had only booked a table for one.
So I called the restaurant to inform about my mistake.
The waitress that answered was extremely rude in her tone. She told me that I could not book a table since they had so many customers coming. There was no form of help in saying when there would be a table ready.
So we looked for somewhere else to eat.
We then decided to get take away fro Ry Gastropub.
Again I was met by the waitress with the rude attitude telling me - “That is not possible I’m closing for take away now” - and then she made clear that the conversation was done.
So we found another restaurant not associated with the hotel.
On our way there we passed Ry Gastropub - on the door was a sign “We are closed today” - actually fair enough but why did the waitress tell me something else?
And later, on our way back, we saw people come out with take away - which we could not get.
The next morning we went down for breakfast. It was simple but well assorted buffet.
The problem was that everything was cold - including the scrambled eggs, sausages etc.
But to be fair they did refund me the difference between a standard double room and a superior double room.
I had fair expectations but was sadly disappointed in all matters.

On the plus side , this hotel is very modern, contemporary and clean, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable, with stylish decor, modern bathrooms and comfortable beds.
Our 2-night stay was sadly marred though by being kept awake on both nights. Our room was not air conditioned and this meant we had to leave all the windows open all night. Having a room overlooking the main road and station was a big mistake. On the Saturday night there was a wedding party at the hotel. Instead of the music ending at midnight , like in most civilised places, this was allowed to carry on until past 2am, banging through the paper-thin walls and making it impossible to sleep. At 3am we were woken again as the drunken guests spilled out onto the street outside our window laughing and screaming at the tops of their voices , completely unacceptable. When added to the ding ding ding of the level crossing barriers going up and down regularly outside the window , this made for a very sleepless night.
As others have already mentioned the small breakfast choice and skeleton staff that seem to run the hotel, I won’t comment further on that.
This hotel could be really lovely as they’ve obviously spent a lot of money making it modern and stylish, however it seems to be poorly run which means sadly that we would not stay again.
If you choose this hotel, ask for a room not overlooking the street !

The hotell is located in the city centre of Ry, the staff is very friendly and the room was nice and clean. The breakfast selection at the buffet was good and tasty. Wifi was working fine in our room.

It's about 3min from the train station and just next to a supermarket. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was ok and the breakfast alright. There seemed to be many business people staying there, additionally there were many conference rooms.
