Scandic Opus Horsens is roomy with lots of space. The hotel is just a stone's throw from Horsens, in between town and country, and you’ll be able to wind down in no time, whether you are traveling with the family, are on a romantic weekend trip or just want to get a good night’s sleep after a long day of meetings. Welcome to Scandic Opus Horsens! A modern hotel in a Scandinavian style, located between town and country. Scandic Opus Horsens is the obvious choice whether you’re exploring Horsens’ attractions, or you need a good night’s sleep after a long day on the go. At Scandic Opus Horsens , we make sure that you sleep well and get a good start to the day. Our large, bright rooms have soundproof windows that ensure a good night’s sleep despite our convenient location near Egebjergvej which takes you right into the city of Horsens. Most of our rooms have a view of the green area behind the hotel or the Nørrestrand nature reserve, and if you are lucky, you’ll spot a deer in the tall grass around sunset. We know that it is important to get a good start to the day, and every morning our staff will greet you with a friendly “good morning”, freshly brewed coffee and a big breakfast buffet offering something for everyone. If you need to really unwind, you can relax in the hotel’s small wellness area where you can treat yourself to sensory experiences in the sauna, steam bath or a foot bath. In the evening, you can enjoy a dinner in our restaurant which focuses on sustainability, organic choices and high-quality local ingredients, serving a selection of both classic and more creative dishes. Hotel Scandic Opus Horsens has been designed by Kim Utzon, and the hotel’s architecture is apparent already when you check in with the 12-metre-high ceiling and large glass areas overlooking the Nørrestrand lobby, giving you the sense of roominess and high ceilings that characterises the hotel. At Scandic Opus Horsens, you are close to town, nature and all the attractions in Horsens. Our hotel is only two kilometres from the city and if you're looking for a short walk, you’ll reach Horsens in no time, even without a car. The hotel is also within walking distance of Horsens’ largest attraction, FÆNGSLET, which you may also be able to glimpse from your room. If you prefer natural adventures, the Nørrestrand Wildlife Reserve close to the hotel offers wooded surroundings with an abundance of wildlife.

Beautiful hotel, so clean and comfortable. Great breakfast huge range something for everyone. The location is ideal to walk into Horsens or get out into the countryside it’s right next to a nature reserve. The staff were welcoming and helpful and we loved the wellness centre again so clean and friendly.

Very comfortable hotel with good services and breakfast included. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The parking lot is very accesible from the hotel and from the road. The breakfast at the restaurant is quite good and the restaurant is comfortable. One of the details catching my attention was the beautiful architecture of the lobby.

We stayed for one night and brought our dog. Really nice to have that option. The price was 2200 dkk for one night. This included a meal, which we were not able to have.

Our dog cannot be left alone in new places, so we asked if we could pay an additional fee and have our food ins our room. This is not possible. It was however possible to order room service. So they allow for us to pay 2x200 dkk for a cheese burger and have that brought to the room, while it was not possible to have the meal we have already payed for, brought to the room.

So that was great... being milked for more money when the things you had payed for was not available for us.

The rooms are fine. Although if you bring your dog remember everything. Food, water, bowls etc. it cost 300 dkk extra to bring a dog, but there is nothing included in that price. We had to make small bowls out of paper cups for our dog.

My and my family had a exelent stay at Hotel Opus Horsens. Service by all hotel staff, cleaning, food and accomodations at the hotel was exemplary. Only one down side is that fitness center is in a rather small room, and ventilation could be better. Gym ecuipment is very good though and up to date.
All in all a exelent hotel, friendly and cozy yet very professional and accomodating. We reccoment this hotel one hundred percent.

BIg room with nice bed, clean and well equipped gym. Great breakfast with many healthy choices to choose from. Free parking outside and nice staff. Would have loved to spend some time in the spa, but didn't get any reply on my booking request in advance - maybe due to covid time?

We stopped at the Opus in Horsens on the way back from Norway coming off the Goteborg ferry at 19.30 in the evening. Arrived at the Opus at 22.00, it is easy to find, about 2 km from the highway. First impression was of a large atrium making up the lobby with a lot of seating to lounge for a moment or two. The hotel is modern, clean line design though now perhaps a few years into the last update? Luggage carts are available and we unloaded.

The reception knew we were coming and the two rooms were ready. We had nice spacious rooms with comfortable beds. There is ample parking in front of the hotel. There is also a parking garage under the hotel but there was no reason to explore that option..

The bathrooms are very typical for European hotels, very clean, no bathtub and tiled floor to ceiling. The shower had copious amounts of hot water. We slept very well after a long day of travel and the hotel was very quiet.

In the morning I got up early and got a free coffee in the lobby and sat on the the nice terrace behind the reception. There is a plain field in the back and a neighborhood about 100 mts away. Very pleasant for a cup of coffee and your first reading of the daily email assault ;-)

At 9.00 we went for breakfast, which is served in a large room on the top floor. Breakfast is fairly complete with eggs, sausage, cereals, breads and cheeses as well as yoghurt and fruits. Espresso coffee and regular coffee available. I would say very appropriate for this style of hotel.

This was our only hotel stop in Denmark and we were very happy with it. It was a bit of a chance find as I looked at many options along the road through Denmark and found it either expensive or unconvincing. (On the way up we stopped in Copenhagen but decided to sleep in Malmo, reviewed separately). If you need a stop over or a few days accommodations in the Horsens area this seems to be a good place to rest!

The Wifi Internet connected but did not get us on the net. Not sure why it didn't work but it was too late to bother with. In the morning we had a leisurely breakfast but did not stay and log-on again, so that remains a mystery.

Dear LatAmBizttraveler. Thank you so much for your great and informative review. It means a lot to us, that you took your time to tell others and us about your visit at Hotel Opus. We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Horsens and had a good nights sleep in our rooms. We did experience some trouble with our WiFi connection last week, and apologize for the inconvenience. The connection was up and running again before noon on your departure day. If your road should ever pass through Horsens again, we hope you will think of us and give us the pleasure of welcoming you to Hotel Opus Horsens one more time. Best regards Maja B.

Easy access.
Lot's of parking spaces free of charge
Comfortable rooms
Passable internet speed
A bit off the city centre but at walking distance.
Breakfast was not to my liking, especially the hot buffet. Having prefabricated portions of scrambled eggs inside a plastic bowl and a piece of sausage and bacon on top of a plastic cap are neither appetizing nor appealing.
All in all its a clean, modern business hotel at Horsens. It is a good choice for a traveller who has business to conduct nearby.

Upon arrival, the exterior looks like a resort for members of the communistic party in the former Soviet union.

Parking is free of charge and you can choose to park in front of the hotel or in the garage.

The lobby is very spacious and welcoming, as are the receptionists. The entire hotel/conference centre is spacious and at times you wonder if you're the only guest. I guess this depends on when you visit the hotel and I'm sure it can be busy at times.

The style of the hotel is not luxurious, more like sparse and simple, but still comfortable for the eye. It has been around for a while, but since Danes are good at design and have a sense of interiors the hotel seems unaffected of changes in fashion.

The room and bathroom (two washbasins and a shower) were also spacious and clean. But, the bathroom could need a touch-up, it felt a bit outdated.

The beds were very comfortable and you have the opportunity to choose between six different pillows if you like. Also, it is very quiet and the room has a balcony too.

There are a number of international TV channels and the resolution of the screen is really good. Wi-Fi works perfect.

The breakfast is good, even though I missed a few things. Also, the way the breakfast is scattered might have an impact of that feeling.

The city centre of Horsens is not in walking distance from the hotel.

Yes, I would definitely come back to this hotel. You get a lot of hotel for the money.
