So expensive for such a terrible hotel with bad service and so so small rooms. The bed looks look you are in a motel instead of an hotel. This hotel hotel needs a good refurbishing for the price it's charging.
Almost all rooms (but not all) are containers. They are roughed up. They don't keep out noise. Something is probably leaking or broken. The pool was drained. The numbers have fallen off of some of the doors. The restaurant is buffet and not particularly great value. However, the service staff was reasonably polite and helpful. My bed was comfortable and everyone else in our tour group felt the same. The containers were are clean as they could be in their worn state. There is a nightclub of some sort next door (this IS Angola). Other tourists may not be super-quiet. Bring earplugs.
Worst Hotel I have ever been! I should had known that something was wrong, when the only photos I could find where of the swimming pool. Apparently, there's a reason why you can't find pictures of the rooms online... there are no rooms... just containers. Ugly, filthy, smelling containers. And all this for $140... I'm not joking! There are 4 good rooms in this hotel, the Deluxe rooms, but these cost $350 a night.
Yes, I did phone to book two rooms but forgot to write the name of the hotel employee. Big mistake! After 15 minutes of fight I get a room but the electricity is not working. I get a second one but it already has a guest. Half an hour later I get my container. Basic but costly. If I was not for 5 years in Angola I wouldnot believe I was paying 115 USD for a container room. Air conditioning had no command but worked properly. Meals had a very limited variety and service was as bad as the worst you can find in Angola. Anyway, it is better to stay here then to stay in Malange if you want to get most of your day in the Kalandula falls...
