We spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel. Room was big and clean. Breakfast very simple for a four star hotel, we definitely expected more. Wi-Fi connection terrible, you have to connect each time after few minutes with a quite complicated password which the system is not able to remember for the entire validity of it. Staff very friendly.

I totally recommend this place - it is perfect for a getaway weekend in the charming wine county - the old castle sits on top of a small village which is surrounded by vinyards and plenty of hilly landscapes, greenery, birds chanting. Rooms are nice and comfortable, i especially recommend those in the 'Pfarrhof', a 2- minute-walk downhill ;). In...

The hotel has a long history which is part of it's charm. Our room and bathroom were huge. There is no fan or A/C and it was very hot, but the windows open and we had a corner room which was helpful. We opted for the 'Epicurean' package. We had a guided tour of the hotel and church, which is...

Great place, very nice, quiet room, excellent staff who constantly made their out-most to help and check if everything alright. Nice wine cellar where you can try and buy local wines. Very nice garden with plum and apple trees (that you can eat) where it is perfect to relax or read or write. Good restaurant in castle but no real...

Found this place for a last minute booking using Tripadvisor search. Wow! The place looks awesome, loved driving in through the castle gate. We were late arrivals and the staff had already left but help was only one phone call away. We were given directions how to find our key, room etc and they even made a reservation for the...

The hotel is located in an old castle, so don't expect any flashy interior. The interior is a mixture of ald and new and very tasteful. We stayed in one of the suits which was huge, cosy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast with local products in the morning. The restaurant was...

Beautiful chateau in Malteser-ownership since 12th century. From rooms marvelous view on nice surroundings with many vineyards. Small breakfast room with good breakfast. Rooms are furnished in chateau style. Good beds. Ask for wine tasting in wine cellar (Vinothek Maillberg valley). Across castle courtyard one of top 5 restaurants of Lower Austria (Gault 2015). Unfortunately no wellness area.

The Schlosshotel & Herrenhäuser is a collection of (independent) hotels in historic buildings in Austria and neighbouring countries. Think “Relais & Chateaux”, but at the three – four star level, rather than top-notch. This property is one of the better ones in this association, but – like many others – is a bit worn on the outside. This, however, does...

This is indeed a castle but not an imposing fortress, more like a large manor. The building is shaped like a capitol O with the hotel inhabiting one end, The parish church is at the opposite end and appartments etc. taking up the sides. When you arrive, drive over the narrow causeway into the courtyard. The hotel reception will be...
