To celebrate our anniversary we visited Block Island. After researching all accommodations we chose Barrington Inn. It was an excellent choice. Unfortunately, tropical storm Hermine stalled off the east coast and cancelled ferry service for a few days due to rough seas, shortening our stay. The Inn honored their cancellation policy due to inclement weather, and we were only charged...

Caren is great. We had a lovely stay in Memorial Day 2016. Highly recommend staying here if you can! Wine and cheese "happy hour" was very nice and the rooms were charming with a great view of the sunset. Just a short walk into town and to the beach away from any noise. Caren had great suggestions and really great...

For a post-Labor Day, two-night visit to Block Island, my wife and I picked The Barrington Inn for our stay. We are flexible, adventurous travelers, but not everyone is, so some things to know: 1) We picked the wrong road to walk to the Inn with our luggage from the ferry landing in Old Harbor. Take Ocean Ave.; it's shorter...

We have stayed at many places on BI over the years and this is the best B&B we have visited. Karen is a wonderfully gracious and attentive host! Not only is the property spotless and beautifully maintained, the little details make your stay simply wonderful. It can best we described as "coming home" every time you step foot in the...

My family and I stayed in room 1, which contains one full and two twin beds. The room was neat and clean. I was worried the room wouldn't be big enough for my husband and I along with our two children. We have stayed in hotels before and usually the kids have to share a full bed and they were...

I have stayed at this inn several times on Block Island as well as the other inn owned by the same people. We have always found the Barrington to be a great spot as it is quaint, not in the middle of the hustle and bustle but still very close and convenient to everything. The inn keeper, Caren, is very...

I am a travel agent, and have been fortunate enough to stay in some really fabulous hotels around the world, but the views from our windows in room 5 and 6 at the Barrington Inn are right up there among my favorites! My family has been coming to Block Island for years, and we love the laid-back, casual feel, so...

We were very happy with our room which was quite spacious and had a lovely view. The Inn is walking distance to town and the beach and very close to New Harbor fun spots. But it's quiet. Not fancy but clean, well- run and a very good value.
