Stayed during tropical storm Hermine in #6, third floor king, water view. Location is great, walking distance to all Old Harbor destinations, 30 minute walk to New Harbor. Also located over the Mohegan Café (good place for a craft brew); taxi stand & bike rentals nearby. Room overlooks Water Street, Old Harbor and the ferry terminal. Room equipped with TV,...

I just stayed at Water Street Inn #3 with my girlfriends for an overnight stay. This second floor corner room was recently renovated. It had air conditioning which can be hard to come by if you stay in Block Island. The beds and pillows were so comfortable I literally overslept which is very hard for me since I tend to...

Stayed for a second time this year (and 2nd year in a row) at the Water St Inn. My suggestion is that if you can get the king room, go for it, the extra space makes a difference - unless you're really not spending any time in the room, or looking for comforts other than an place to sleep &...

My wife and I stayed here over 4th of July weekend by accident. We originally booked an apartment in the Ocean Avenue apartments through Block Island reservations. The unit (#1) was very nice but the company had rented out the other three units to a group of 20 year olds who decided to literally have a keg party upstairs. Our...

The hotel I stayed in was called Waterstreet Suites. I made the reservation through blockislandreservations.com. It was advertised as being an air conditioned suite, with two bedrooms and a living room with a pull out sofa or futon. I booked two rooms. When I arrived I saw that there was a portable air conditioner in the main room. The bedroom...

I stayed at the Water Street, requesting Room #3, for the second time. Although there are signs of wear, particularly in the bathroom, it is still a great choice. The Inn has no reception area, no check in, no phones. Check in takes place at a neighboring hotel. Since my last visit, the tv was upgraded, which was great, and...

I almost didn't want to give away this secret, but since this hotel was renovated last year, the rooms are awesome. We have been staying on Block Island for almost 10 years and you have to know what you're getting when staying on the island. Most hotels are dated, rustic, chic with older features but it's part of the charm....

Old (turn of the century) boarding house. Rooms are awful (really bad beds, even worse pillows, floors slope 15 degrees, window didn't open--occupied by a huge, noisy A/C unit), but it did have a small fridge and organic toiletries. Location is right "downtown," across the street from the ferry. Noisy at night, though, being directly above a restaurant/bar and in...

Spend your money at the other hotels such as the Hendrickson House, Spring house, Ashley House etc. The management here is beyond terrible! We had rented here and our room was half of the size of the other rooms. Non working TV and fan, BLACK mold resulting in feeling ill, no closets or dresser, not clean in fact beyond dirty,...

The rooms were comfortable, clean and right on the main road, across from the ferry. We had a fridge and coffee maker in our room. The beds were comfortable and there is air conditioning. There is a place to store your luggage before check in and after check out (which is great). The only downfall (which wasn't a big deal...
