This must rate as the most unwelcoming pub in Emmbrook, a course in customer service or the wish to be in a service industry would possibly help, 10.15 pm and it became obvious we were in the way as the table for breakfast were set up around us, then told at 10.15 if you want

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent visit to The Emmbrook Inn. We are very sorry that it did not give you a positive feeling. We have had a staff meeting and discussed what happened on the 20th and the staff member in question has asked that we send her apologises for not being as professional as she usually is. Unfortunately another member of staff went sick and was not able to do her shift and therefore left others to do it for her although this dose not excuse the lack of professionalism that we expect from our staff. We hope that you will give us another chance and that the next time it will be a better visit for you.

Delicious and excellent value. This friendly local pub does a great Sunday lunch. Roast dinner with trimmings, fab gravy and loads of veggies. Nice wines too. Not often you get a Saint Emilion for less than £25. Will keep returning.

Was made very welcome, fantastic food and great staff. Couldn't sleep well on mattress was only main issue and noisy neighbours which wasn't the hoteliers fault but warm and clean. Could do with redecorating Thanks for the stay and would come back

Thank you for your comments and taking the trouble to give your views. It would be very helpful to know which room you stayed in as some of the rooms have been decorated recently and I would very much like to check out the bed as if a problem with it I would like to replace it.. I can be contacted via this site or email embrookinn@btconnect.com. Your help in this would be much appreciated. Just the room number will be fine. Many thanks.

Just popped in for lunch with a friend - the place looks a bit 'back-street-pub' from the 70's ... one of those you're amazed hasn't been bull-dozed or converted into flats. Then once inside that image is even more prevalent, but I can't remember the last time I have been inside

On arrival you are asked to check in at the bar, that's not a problem unless it's late and nobody notices you standing there with a suitcase at the most clumsy of reception desk you have ever seen! Eventually I was given my room key and pointed in the direction to where I need

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is always good to receive constructive comments as they are useful in order to improve our service. As for the rooms - yes the rooms should be warm for the guest on arrival and yes the beds should have been fully changed ready for the following guest. I can only apologise that the room you were in had not had the same attention afforded to it as the others. However I am disappointed that you were not happy with your stay I am a little concerned about the mentioned price of £90.00 as we do not have a room at that rate. Our menu was only renewed a week ago and I am sorry if it was not to your liking .although it has many items on it to suit most people. Unfortunately I have no control over the kebab van. Faulty Towers - quite possible - some of our regular guests often call me Basil !
