We were visiting the area for a family celebration so stayed at the Grafton Manor on a bed and breakfast basis. We booked the Garden View Suite as it was not all that much more than standard rooms. The hotel is in a quiet location down a narrow lane and on arrival we were surprised at the size of our... More

I made an online booking with the hotel and received confirmation of the booking. Now 5 days later I get a one line email saying my booking has been cancelled as they have had a better offer of exclusive use for a wedding. This shows what they think of their other guests!

Had afternoon tea in the marquee. Surrounding absolutely beautiful overlooking the garden. Sandwiches were a bit boring and some were quite stale but there was plenty of cake choice. Fresh hot tea and coffee as much as wanted.

I travel for work a lot, and was pleasantly surprised to discover this hotel up a long country road on the outskirts of Bromsgrove. It is very definitely an old manor, the rooms are large and ornately decorated in period style, which I found charming. The lawns and grounds are immaculately kept, I wish I had found this place in... More

We visited Grafton Manor to celebrate my husbands birthday. We have had many memorable visits here. What a disappointment. The bar is now downstairs and looked as if was furnished with cast off furniture. There were only two young girls running around trying to cope. It was cold and very unwelcoming. No one even gave us a menu. In fact... More

We stayed at this manor last night as we attended a wedding there yesterday. The venue was lovely with beautiful grounds, we paid in cash £125.00 to Darren after the wedding reception had finished at 7.30pm, no receipt was given to us...We were disappointed and embarrassed to be called back this morning in front of the wedding party and other... My wife and I were married and had our reception here some twenty years ago and returning, (30th September) left us turning the clock back. We booked last minute ( thank you so much Sarah) and had a fantastic meal which consisted of a shared starter of local produce followed by a steak that Guy Fawkes ( who knew the... More

We like older style hotels and booked the Grafton Manor as a 1 night break of journey. What a beautiful building this is set in fantastic grounds. The welcome was very warm and our large room boasted a 4 poster bed with lovely views over the garden. Although not modern (its an old manor house after all) the room had... More

I saw a few negative reviews and was somewhat worried. I should not have been. Yes, a few things here and there look shabby but that is what makes the experience authentic - you do not come to a historical manor for shiny new hotel rooms. And they are all you would expect them to be - mine was a... More
