We had a pleasant stay here. Paid a little extra to have a balcony bay view room, was worth it to see the view every morning. Breakfast was included and it was continental. Due to covid, there was plastic screens around the food and staff serve everything, even a bowl of cereal. It can get very busy and a few unorganised queues at peak breakfast time. The breakfast staff were always happy and friendly though. We have food at the poolside bar a few times which was tasty. Even had a vegan baggette of hummus and grilled vegetables. The poolside was relaxing and we always managed to find sunbeds. It was nice that you could walk a few metres and be able to jump into the sea which they had roped off a good amount for our own use. Hand sanitizer was available around the hotel. Only let down was the Aircon was not great in the rooms. It needed more oomph so sometimes there was sweaty night sleeps! It was in a lovely area, quiet and a five minute walk to the restaurants of St Julian's bay. I would genuinely book this hotel again if I visited Malta again.

allways liked this hotel & staff on previous visits, but so called improvements have made it worse, staff not the same, have the nastiest, rudest barman I have ever come across, you do not go on holiday to suffer aggression & shouting tantrums when the staff make a mistake & try to blame you.Complained to duty manager, who appologised, but was not really bothered, lady on reception had a problem sorting things out &communicating. Restraunt food was diabolical, very few diners using it, & it seemed that the same dishes were served every night, with a different sauce. We were looking foreward so much to our first break since Covid, &feel bitterly dissappointed. We will never return to this place.

Nice and clean hotel in an amazing location with stunning views and mostly very nice staff and fab pool area but NO WORKING AIR CON in the rooms. Complained and all they could do was give us a noisy fan to move the hot air around, no other solution. ABSOLUTE JOKE that a supposed 4 star hotel in a hot country hasn’t working air con in the bedrooms. Speaking to a number of other people staying in the hotel their air con wasn’t working either so do not stay here unless you are happy sleeping in sticky hot humid conditions every night. Such a pity because lovely hotel otherwise but terrible to be so uncomfortable in the room. Breakfast very poor also so if it’s an option don’t bother with it, many great places for breakfast very close by.

We stayed at the hotel for a week. Considering the hotel went through a refurbishment project in 2020 , with which the hotel is boasting at the lobby displaying a large poster, the whole hotel is very dated. It has 90s vibe and the decor and fittings are very cheap. 1. The check in - we arrived on a late afternoon. The reception was empty with 3 employees there. It took almost half an hour and all the three staff to check us in. We were being asked for different docs and questions by each of the reception staff. The whole process was very disorganised and lengthy. I booked specifically a twin room and of course we got a king. When I inquired about the room one of the staff went to their little office and disappeared for 5+minutes.I eventually asked the other person what is going on and she also disappeared. They eventually reappeared and we were told they have no twins left. I said I specifically booked a twin and I only got a laugh back. 0/5 experience. Very negative bad check in staff. We eventually managed to get the beds separated and checked in 30 mins later. How can the staff be so badly trained I don’t understand. 2. The pool area- avoid unless you want to share a tiny pool with the whole hotel. The pool area is dirty, broken, outdated and overcrowded. Take a bus (eur2) or a cab to the riviera beach. Your holiday is going to be much more pleasant. 3. Breakfast- ok fry up. Selection of cold cuts and some fruits. Bad bread and a cold toast. The tea mugs are always not available. Not so good considering the hotels is full of brits. 4. Room. The room is relatively large. The bed is terrible. Soft. Awful pillows. The aircon works but keeps switching on and off in a very short intervals as it is maintaining the temperature. No so great when you’re trying to sleep. Would say it needs a calibration. 5. The room bathroom. Awful. Tiny. And I mean super tiny. Maybe 3m2. No towel hangers. Nothing. The only amenity is a shower gel. No ear buds. Etc. The water pressure is a joke. Terrible 5.’the hotel compliance officer’ - while walking from a lift to the exit door I took the dreaded mask off and I suddenly found myself being shouted at by a big, loud and very unfriendly chap, a so called ‘compliance officer’. ‘Mask, mask, masks!!’ I turn around and this big fella was just casually shouting these words. Oh my god. How can you treat your guests like that?! You don’t even treat children in kindergarten like this, let alone guests in a ‘’4*’’ hotel. I was so shocked I didn’t react. Agreed. I should have not taken the mask off but this is not how you remind your guests about the need to wear a mask. Totally inappropriate and rude. Not focusing on the real H&S issues at the hotel. Such as the hotel sea steps covered is sea weed and are very slippery. There is someone going to sooner slip and crack their skull open than catching covid as all guest are vaccinated. The hotel is more a 2/3*. If you’re looking for a rowdy area full of bars and nightclubs and bad hotel this may the place for you. However, I would recommend staying at Valleta or on the other side of the island. Never coming back to this hotel. Mind you, it is not exactly cheap for the nothing you get. My bad. I chose a wrong hotel. Many people seem to love the hotel having read the reviews….

This hotel was extremely reasonable considering we got breakfast included for the seven mornings. It was more of an adult only hotel and that really suited us as I was there with my friends. The room was so comfortable the air-conditioning was amazing. The cleaning service was done daily which helped us loads as we were out and about. Everyone was extremely friendly we missed the checkout time we thought was an hour later and nothing was said to us so that was lovely. We had lunch here one day and it was amazing we thought it might be though because the breakfast was so nice. It’s very central to lots of lovely restaurants and you can see the sea from it which is beautiful. There are actually steps down into the sea from the pool area.
