The hotel is okay. The family rooms are big enough. The breakfast is quite good. I would like to thank the staff and specially Olga from reception. She was so helpful. The hotel is okay for its price. It is well located for taking the bus and going for a walk.
Arrived at Malta airport at 11am, taxi to the hotel cost €20 paid direct to taxi stand at airport so no worries over fare. Dropped at the door and welcomed by staff. I was far too early to check in but made the most of the roof terrace to relax after early start to catch flight . Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance but due to being so early in the year I wasn’t expecting it to be open so it was lovely and quiet . Once able to check in (2pm) I was pleasantly surprised by the room. Twin beds as was traveling with a friend who was unable to make it last minute. private balcony over looking the street, clean and neat and more than I’d expected given the cost of booking. Lots of storage space, modern furniture, spacious wet room/bathroom even a mini fridge , no tea and coffee making facilities though. I’d paid £70 for two nights plus flights so wasn’t expecting much to be honest but it exceeded expectations. The area is about a 1min walk from a rocky but nice beach cove and has sea views from the roof and some rooms, with a further 5 min walk to the heart of the harbour side town which is beautiful, the area the hotel is located in has quite a few bars , small food shops and a few good restaurants as well as other hotels and apartments. St Julian is wonderful with a good mix of all tastes and needs catered for With widely spoken English and lots of familiar brands and signage in English. A short bus ride (20/30 mins) takes you to Valletta which is stunning. Bus to and from the airport is the TD2 line and take roughly 30 mins which I used for the return trip to the airport. I didn’t eat at the hotel as was out and about a lot but the restaurant and bar were clean , well decorated and the staff on reception were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Really made a difference As a lone traveler. The only downside was it was a little noisy, a bar next door and lots of “party bars” nearby meant a few voices at night but again it was out of season so wasn’t too bad. There was construction going on across the street too which is absolutely no fault of the hotel itself but was loud in the mornings. Ear plugs sorted that. The town itself is easy to walk round, beautiful and full of friendly locals. Would definitely return and recommend. Once again the staff were lovely and really made the difference.…
Very central could walk to Valletta ( if you wished). There is a walkway along the waterfront from St.. Julian to Capital Valletta. Great walk! Weather warm and sunny.. The people warm and friendly.. Hotel very neat and clean, we were half board food plenty and varied and lots of healthy options. Aldo the manager always present and graciously solved any thing that that needed his attention on the spot..
Stayed with girlfriend 4 nights, we spent 30 euro a night via booking.com, the decent breakfast buffet was worth alone 10 euro. On top of that it had an indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna which get busy in the evening but you can't have everything. It was a great price for the centre of Saint Julian which seemed like the heart of nightlife in Malta. Free parking wasn't that hard to find in February, also the reception staff and the manager were very friendly.
Hotel very well located. The staff is very helpful and above all very friendly. There is everything nearby, restaurant, bus,... For the more party people, there are the best nightclubs of the island nearby, for the less party people don't worry, the rooms are well soundproofed. In short, this hotel has everything you need to enjoy this country!
