The property is stellar in every way. The staff has a high level of professionalism and a great ability to make guests feel welcomed and cared for in every detail. The beautiful surroundings were the main attractive point that brought us to the hotel, but the highlight of our stay was the fantastic group of people who worked tirelessly during our 5 days in Malta. If you seek a beautiful location with top notch service, the Westin Dragonara Resort in Malta will deliver in every way. Their gym is well equipped, the indoor pool and saunas were very well maintained with great locker amenities. The breakfast was plentiful in options that changed daily. We look forward to returning to the property and enjoying more time among the capable and friendly staff.

Hotel's Favorite
This was our second stay at the Westin in Malta and we picked it because the previous stays were lovely and better than the Hilton. We stayed here for a week from 28th July with 14 other family/friends who were attending our wedding in Malta. The rooms were big, clean and smelt divine. They were cleaned daily although the timings were hit and miss. My sister who had a room on the ground level didn’t get hers cleaned daily as they were coming quite late in the day and her little kids would be sleeping. For us on the 6th floor they were cleaned fairly early and daily so no big issue. Water leaks out of the bath, not sure why but again wasn’t a problem for us we just put a towel on the ledge. We had a big balcony and had water bottles left in the room daily. On our arrival, I had asked for welcome drinks for our guests while we checked in. This was done promptly and everyone loved them! We had breakfast every morning and it really is wonderful. Hot drinks of every kind, milkshakes & juices. Cereal, hot breakfast & omelettes every day. Pastries and fruit with continental breakfast options too. My niece and nephew (3&5) were never hungry they ate all their breakfast (cereal) and loved the milkshakes! We stayed around the main pool area as we had the two kids. We were worried they’d be loads of children and that we’d hate it but in all honesty there wasn’t. Genuinely, really nice area, I fell asleep one afternoon so wasn’t loud or disturbed at all. There is a adults only area which is so peaceful and you can get straight into the sea. There’s another area called the reef where there’s a salt water pool and more adult only areas. Plenty of sun beds and no one need to run or fight for a sun bed at 6am! Food is so easy to order if you’re at the pool, there’s QR codes on your sun loungers where your order on your phone and within 20-30mins your drinks and food are delivered. We are at the terrace and piano bar, both had delicious food and service was great. Prices were normal for what you would expect in a hotel. We did the dinner buffet on Tuesday, it cost €40 each not including drinks. Personally, for two people it wasn’t worth it we wouldn’t have €80 worth of food and then drinks on top. The food was nice but just not worth the price for us. Gym is very good and clean. We’ve used it on previous stays and this one. Service is great you get a towel and water bottle. Equipment is good with pretty much all cardio and weight training equipment. I used the spa and it’s not worth it, had a full body massage with a facial and it just wasn’t very good. Could pay less and have a better quality massage elsewhere or at home in England. Around €80 for a full body massage and €50 for facial. I then stayed in the Dragonara suite room 867, this was unreal! Huge room with living area, a huge balcony with a hot tub and a further two smaller balconies. It was fit for a princess I loved it, it was perfect for me the night before my wedding and for getting ready on the wedding day. I had access to the executive lounge on the 8th floor but it was just ok. I wouldn’t pay extra to use it. The breakfast in the terrace is far better and worth the money. You only get continental breakfast with executive lounge, a happy hour for adults for an hour or two in the evening and access to the terrace for breakfast. I was well looked after on the day of the wedding and a lively bottle of champagne delivered by the manager! He was lovely. We did notice the hotel got a lot busier from the 30th July and the later you went for breakfast people were queuing up. Overall, a great stay and loved Malta. All our friends and family were genuinely happy and the manager was great. The concierge staff Pete I think his name was, he was brilliant too. Will be back next year!

Amazing stay at this fabulous hotel with staff making the stay extra special. Amazing service at breakfast each morning with Jeffery going over and beyond what I would expect. He was even asking if there was enough froth on the oat milk flat white. The concierge helped us with where to see in valetta and organised a taxi and was just so welcoming and chatty - I can’t recall his name. Brakat (not sure of exact spelling) served us most nights in the main lounge area, always smiling and so friendly and really seemed to care we were always looked after. Francesca was excellent when we were checking out and ordering a taxi for a unearthly hour for our Ryanair flight home. It was the perfect stay and the hotel made our trip as the weather wasn’t great and we spent most of her hotels there, relaxing and admiring the view . Will definitely be back and also recommending to family and friends

I highly recommend Western Dragonara, as my family and I had a really nice surprise for my son's and my birthdays, which happened to be almost together, 2 days apart! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, especially the friendly staff. The food was delicious. The lobby was very comfortable for brunch and drinks, and our room was decorated with swans and an elephant made of towels! The elephant was fitted with eyes! My child was enthralled by the elephant! We dined at Palios, and the food was delicious! The gym where we went was spotless! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel! Excellent work! We will, without a doubt, return!

The hotel is really good , recently modernised . Was surprised to see air con going in the room in November and had to switch it off completely we gets quite chilly in the nights. There was a really strange thing in the bathroom where the door stopper is fixed to the floor directly in front of the toilet in the same colour as the floor. The number of times I stub my toe or trip over it !! Please fix this at least paint it red sonyou can see it. The pool area fantastic lots of beds . Realstaurqnt in the lobby good choice of food and i will say reasonably priced. The gym is large with lots of equipment . The indoor pool also very large and nice jacuzzi. Rooms very nicely decor . Overall a really nice stay for 3 days although the travel time to Msida for the conference took over an hour, traffic in Malta is very busy.

This was my fourth stay at this hotel. Absolutely love the place - it’s clean and very luxurious and the gym is amazing. It has a very safe feeling for a solo traveller, security at night in particular is excellent. My only “not so good” observation was of the staff at the front desk and concierge/doorman. While they were pleasant and always answered questions, I found the staff that were there when I visited in 2019, so much friendlier and they would go the extra mile of asking how my day was etc. I did miss that this time, especially as I was staying there on my own, so was craving the extra chit-chat! The bar staff were very friendly though, so going in there was always a positive experience. Drink prices were also very reasonable compared to other places I have been currently travelling to in Europe. One final tip, always use Uber and don’t pay hotel priced taxis. It is so much cheaper using the Uber app. Overall, love the Dragonara and will definitely return for a fifth visit the next time I go to Malta.

Blue sea, big room, great beds, best sleep what more do you want. Mr Ahmed Aboushall makes a great Guest Relations Manager and asked us every day if we needed anything and I looked forward to seeing him every morning. Josep and George were great Concierge team . The resort atmosphere was simply enjoyable. You may not swim but just lie down in the reclining chair or even your balcony and enjoy the happy peaceful times. All the staff were friendly, ready to help out. Best stay ever!

Lovely hotel but not such a lovey area. Would have been a score of five if not for the surrounding area - just a concrete jungle and not pleasant to walk around, the hotel itself is lovely - though at this time of year the pool area is in shade early afternoon. Ask for a pool/sea view room - we had a sea view but across a road so not wonderful. Big shout out for the fabulous concierge service run by George and Joseph - both an invaluable resource who really made a difference to our holiday!
