We booked for a three nights stays at the District Hotel; the price was very decent comparing to the others in the neighborhood during our stay, on an average of 50 euro for a night, we find it a pretty good price for what you can get.
Also the hotel is located pretty near the center of the city, with lots of bar's, restaurants, things to do (casino's and cinemas for example) etc etc. So you can go to many different places by walking distance. As for visitors with a rental car for the parking possibility; there should be enough "white boxes" nearby the hotel, otherwise the hotel it self offer private parking, be aware to contact hotel staff in advance to arrange the availability of it. A tip is to park at the white box loading spot next to the opposite hotel which will be free for parking from 16:00 till 08:00.

The hotel itself is on average in general, especially visited other three star hotels during our stay in Malta, we can say it's okay but things to improve will be some maintenance on the bathroom which we find it can be a bit cleaner. There was also a locked door inside our room which can not be open, thinking it's to connect to the other room or for cleaning purpose. But during our first night we heard lot of noises from people from the other room; therefor it's not that good, no idea if it came from the locked door or simply bad noise isolation. The balcony is small but good enough to have a sit or dry out your small laundry. Be aware there is two sides with balcony; one is facing a big private car company parking lots and the other in direct to the city center, it depends on which one you want but the one facing parking lot got more sun light. Didn't get the breakfast from the hotel itself since there are enough other places nearby with better offering.

But overall we find a decent stay for the price and especially the location, therefore recommend!

The hotel is smart, clean and close to all amenities and of course, the beach! Staff are out of this world, so friendly and super accommodating, the hotel manager (we think, lady with beautiful sparkly nails) was just amazing, so kind and friendly! The other guy on reception who we think was Andrew or Davide (we may have had a few cocktails when we met him) was brilliant! Kept us entertained and was always very friendly! House keeping were a group of really nice ladies who cleaned the room to a very high standard each day, always said hello and would help you with anything. Breakfast was a mix of full English, continental and a selection of fruits, coffee machine nearly came home with me! Delicious coffees whenever you wanted.
The hotel is located just far enough away from the busy clubs and bars that you aren’t kept awake at night, however be warned, wherever you stay in St Julian’s, there is a lot of construction work going on that starts early every week day morning, the district hotel, however is quite sound proofed so this shouldn’t be a problem. Only downside is that we aren’t still there!

We really enjoyed our week at The District, it was very clean and tidy and the room was brilliant, very spacious and modern. We were B&B and it was good, bit strange due to Covid restrictions so no self service but all staff were great especially Melina and Estelle who were fantastic! " Full English" was really nice tho' not the hottest, and continental looked good too.
The Hotel is a five minute walk from a decent beach ( not "real" sand but ok), multiple bars , restaurants, shopping Mall and everything you need for a great break. We hired a car, loads available locally, and highly recommend this as the island is so easy to get around and we found plenty of beautiful sandy beaches and spectacular scenery. Also recommend a short ferry to Comino (amazing) and a car ferry to Gozo ( beautiful).
We loved our visit to Malta and The District Hotel is a great place to use as a base, go and see, you wont regret it!

The room was dirty. When I asked them to clean the bathroom (there was hair from the previous guests) they told me okay and nobody came. The hotel didn't have parking area. The breakfast had very specific things and no choices for vegan/vegetarian. Also there is no soundproofing and we were listening literally everything from the others room and the hallway.

Either it’s a new hotel with cheap Labour or it’s an older hotel and it’s showing its age (not quite saw). There was wallpaper coming off the walls, tape around some of the light switches, as though they hadn’t taken off the original packaging. Coffee or tea stain on the bed. We spoke to one of the cleaners and they said they’d change it, but they didn’t. Wasn’t just in the room either. You could see scratch marks on walls, cracks on the stairs as you walk into the hotel. Was also building works in buildings near by (which obviously not the hotels fault). So a little noisy at times. The hotel reception also charged us €10 for arriving 90minutes before check in time. However our room had already been cleaned, so it wasn’t like they had to rush around. It would have just been sat there not doing anything. Also no real information on local information, special no maps of the local area to help tourists. They had a few on Popeye tour and local bus tour (but that was it). There was a code keypad that you had to put into the enter the hotel. But it had the code printed above it. What’s the point of having it if anyone can just type the code in. Also about 3 times we had to go back to reception to get our room cards reactivated as they stopped working.

We were given the wrong room, it said deluxe on our booking form with four beds in the photo on the easyjet site. In reality it was a comfort room?? with little space to store your clothing. It had a connecting door to the room next door and to be honest your neighbours may as well be in the same room as you with the lack of sound insulation. Got moved to a superior room which is much larger after we pointed out the error on the booking form....no fault of the Hotel. Every one of the staff was friendly apart from the red headed maid who never greeted you or smiled, she let the hotel down.

Modern-looking hotel, close to the centre of St Julians, although the grey coloured theme running throughout the rooms reminded me more of a business traveller hotel. Nice sized room with lots of storage space, large shower with two different shower heads, decent enough toilet and washroom. Small balcony overlooking the main road into Paceville. Although travelling single, I had four beds in my room (one for each night :-). Complimentary coffee and kettle was a nice touch, as was the fridge for storing beer.

Just returned from a week at this hotel. The room was very clean and decorated in a modern style. Bathrooms were very good with excellent showers.
Location was very good, close to beach, supermarket, shopping and casino.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially David who was a great help with our boarding passes.
Would stay again.

Good facilites and services. Spacious and clean rooms. Close to Saint Julian the main bus stop, shoping center and the beach. Good and plenty full breakfast. It's located near different restaurants, pubs and bares, but there's noisy. The staff is very pleasant

the room price does not include breakfast, however on the ground floor there is the restaurant provided which with 5/8 euro per person makes the breakfast both salty and sweet.
