Hotel is located near to Nagoya Hill Mall and a few well rated eating places. Staff is polite and very helpful. Room is spacious and clean though it doesn't have an actual fridge and the WiFi is a tad slow sometimes. Toilet has a bidet, the showering area is half open so floor will get wet. Breakfast's variety is not the best though it changes daily, with the food frequently replenished. Vienna Spa's massage is relaxing and removed all my stress away.

A short trip free & easy, with my family members. Took the early ferry service at SG Harbourfront, and 45 mins later we arrive at Batam Harbour Bay terminal. Not as many people as we expected on a weekend. Proceeded by taxi to this hotel around 15mins, and after checking in took some time to unpack our essentials. The room was super good, large and spacious.
Shopping at Nagoya Hill Centre:
Many places to shop and eat. Can spend whole day walking around and not feeling tired.
Please do some bargaining when buying things. They know we are not from native BATAM.
Dinner we had from some street food restaurant. Not quite Singaporean or Malaysian flavours, but different.
Spent the next day, having late breakfast and some shopping before heading to Harbour Bay for our ferry home.

Can't even say that this place is cheap and cheerful. The staff are friendly enough but the rooms were just awful. Viewed 5 rooms before we found one that was inhabitable. The other rooms stank of mould (some had huge water damage patches that could be seen in the walls) and stale cigarette smoke (so much for non-smoking rooms)... The floors were dirty and our friend discovered a filthy, stained towel folded neatly for her to use. Our bathroom even had some 'short & curlies' left on the floor! Breakfast was geared for Asian tastes but all the food was put out very early and then left - even by 7:30am the selection was stale and tasteless. The chicken congee was about the best thing on offer!
Only for hardy travellers looking for a cheap deal.

Let me start off with the good. The hotel staff are incredibly curteous and well mannered. Concierge has a bit of attitude but I would get an attitude working here too. I do not blame housekeeping for the situation of the bedrooms. I think they are making do the best they can with what they have available. However, as nice as the lobby decor or the lounge is, the state of the hotel bedrooms and hallways is disgusting. The lounge may feel 3 star but the rooms are reminiscent of a motel. The bathroom smells like a porta potty and there are dust bunnies falling out of the vent. There is dust all over the bedsheets when we came in and no matter how many times you change them, they still smell like mildew and are incredibly stained to an off yellowish in color. The towels are probably the original set from when the hotel was built and are extremely perfumed probably to cover up the old stench. The light bulb on the nightlight also burst in the middle of the night and when we told concierge, it was no shock to them as if it were a regular occurrence. I am now a firm believer in getting what you pay for so don't try to save some money by staying here. You will be traumatized. The 4 star average may have been true in the past but the place has really taken a downturn since.

The word boutique is supposed to be reserved for quaint, themed and unique hotels. This hotel is old, smelly and dirty. We tried 5 rooms before finding one that was the least amount of Mould. The restaurant buffet was also not refreshed and most food was stale.

Mini mart on the side, both side alley have street foods. I won’t said fantastic but decent variety.

Quite centre of Nagoya area travelling to Grand Batam mall city walk or Nagoya mall less than 15min base on traffic

I paid a high price for a Junior Suite located at the 3rd floor. The ceiling lights not lighted up but I am not bothered. However, the air-con was not cold even after 3hrs! I checked in quite late at night so I didn't bother to request to change room. The next morning, I realize the fridge was also broken, all my drinks are warm. The fitness center, all the treadmills are also broken and cannot be used. I went down to café for my breakfast around 8.30am. Most of the food are already emptied and not refilled. I am very disappointed and this is not what I have expected. The staff working here are nice and polite, the fridge was also changed after my request. However, I will never return again. It's not worth the price I paid, for this kind of rundown facilities.

Good breakfast, helpful staff, good location. Only lacking was the hotel itself which is a bit outdated and needs some refurbishing. Need cleaner towels and bed sheets but otherwise okay for a short stay and maybe if you just need a place to rest after your golf game.

Apologies first for the utterly long review. Hope it'll be helpful to u so please do read on..

Was welcomed by a bunch of friendly, service-oriented staffs. Had to wait for about an hour after check-in time for the junior room suite to be ready, but it's fine. Was really excited about the junior suite because of the bath tub i saw through trip advisor.

Got to the room n was impressed with the new decor n all. Cleanliness was in top form. Everything was great until i tried to use the bath tub.

The hot water only ran for less than 5 mins n it turned cold. Thought perhaps the water tank needed some time to heat up the water, so i tried to give it some time (about 15 to 20 mins) before turning the tap back on. But it got worse. The hot water only ran for less than a minute this time. Got a bit upset, so i called the front desk.

They got the engineering staff to come look over it. They came and tweaked around with the tub n told us to call them again should the same thing occur. So we left the hotel n went to get our dinner outside.

Reached back the hotel, I wanted to take a hot bath before bed. Same thing happened again, even worse actually. Hot water ran for about a minute and turned totally cold. Called the front desk AGAIN n told them this is the second time i'm calling. So the staff said he'll get the engineering staff to take a look, AGAIN. And so, we waited. And waited.. I then called the front desk again as it was getting late after midnight. Another staff answered so i had to go through the story all over AGAIN. But this time, he actually got the engineering staff to come over.

So they came, and checked, AGAIN.. and came up with the fact that the tank is small n we are not the only room facing the same problem. Apparently, there was nothing they could do. So we said our thanks n they left.

We tried the front office again n another staff answered. (Not sure how many of them there are) we politely explained what the engineer said n all.

This time, we had a rude staff on the line. He actually told us that there was nothing that he could do n just told us to wait for the water to heat up again. (Seriously?! How long will that take to fill a bath tub?!?) My husband then explained to him the reason we are paying more for the junior suite is because of the bath tub. But it defeats the purpose if the hot water isn't working. We might as well should have gotten the cheaper standard rooms with no tubs.

The front desk staff's answer was epic. He asked us, "So?! What you want me to do!?" (In a really obnoxious manner!) So my husband asked to put the manager on duty on the phone, he said there is no one else around besides him. (Even when there is a claim stated in the welcome letter from the GM that should guests have any problems, it is to be brought up to the manager whom is on duty at all times) The impolite staff also said if need be, he told us to call again for the manager tomorrow. My husband knew should the conversation prolong, it was bound to get ugly so he ended the call.

I am typing out this review on my phone, right in this so-called junior suite of a room. We have booked two nights at this hotel. Only the first day here, and we are already regretting our choice of stay. Saw the great reviews on trip advisor and thought of giving this boutique hotel a shot. At this point, we are utterly dissappointed. We hope the manager or someone of a higher authority will be able to rectify this issue tomorrow morning. We'll probably look for another hotel to stay for our second night in Batam Nagoya, should there be no satisfying outcome..

Perhaps we're petty but i believe as a consumer, we want something that we have paid for. If it is a minor issue, we're fine. But this?..

Then again, if u don't mind with this whole hot water/bath tub fiasco, then it should be fine for you to stay at this hotel.. Hoping for a better outcome tomorrow from the manager.. Hopefully..

Hi there, u can take a cab to Nagoya mall. Or u can walk there which ia less than 10mins walk. There are a few massage centre there. If you would prefer male masseuse then I would recommend five star hotel. Opposite A&W of Nagoya Mall. Cheap and good.
