We highly enjoyed the dinner prepared by Valerio just for the 2 of us in this beautiful mountain setting. All the vegetables and fruits are homegrown, opening up our culinary knowledge to completely new tastes of local food we never had eaten before. Furthermore Valerio not only prepared our dinner but also served it to us explaining every dish with... More

We were travelling from Castelbuono to Cefalu and stopped at this agriturismo for a night. The owner immediately gave us two rooms which were ready even though we went there unannounced. Great grounds to go for a walk and great views from the rooms. Peaceful and quiet all day. The owner cooked us an excellent dinner even though we were... More

We spent a gorgeous day at Valerios place in May 2016. He is taking care of his guests a lot, cooking amazing local food. We are thankful for the time we enjoyed and recommend La Manna die Zabbra strongly. We stayed overnight and enjoyed an italian breakfast served by the lovely Gina/ Johannes

We stumbled across this place by chance. We arrived around 3 and it was beautiful and we were the only guests. Our Italian is poor and so a guy speaking good English drove especially and served us attentively. The food was a sample after sample each as good or better than the last, the best we have had here so... More

Awesome place for the ones in search of peace surrounded by nature, great meals with local/organic food. Valerio, the manager, is good talking guy that worths some lines. After some days together I felt myself with a new fellow. About the food: couldn't expect more: honest starters and very tasteful main dishes. I could stay in the terrace for days... More

Staying on this beautiful farm was a memorable experience. The property is stunning and the apartment itself very comfortable -it has a very large kitchen and large rooms. From the outside there is a beautiful view of the nearby town and valley. We were delighted that they have their own agriturismo restaurant on the property and enjoyed a wonderful dinner... More

It is indeed a lovely location, close to the wonderful medieval towns in the local vicinity, and the house in which we stayed was surrounded by trees, hills and wildlife. On those trees hung, as another reviewer noted; plump fruit and beyond the trees lay olive vines. In the distance we could hear horses, birds and chickens. The difficulty, it... More

The anti pasti, since tjere're lots if them, are just superb! It takes a couple of hours of my time, time I never will regret. The location outside is perfect for long lunches, and it's quite close to the main roads (SS113, and road to Castelbouno). The variety of the dishes are so good, once the pasta & secondi arrives... We visited "La Manna di Zabbra" this past June and discovered a hidden paradise. Lovely grounds, quiet and serene atmosphere, excellent, uncommonly prepared food in numerous samples presented tastefully in gourmet portions (no menu), all offered by a congenial and uninvasive host. Well done!! We will be back.

Just a paradise! We greatly enjoyed our short stay at Marion and didn't want to leave! Beautiful house and views from the terrace. Already missing delicious mulberries and figs we picked from the trees near the house. Perfect stay for any kind of tourism – historic Cefalu, peaceful Pollina with picturesquare theatre, clean sandy or wild stony beaches and lively... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The organic Agriturismo 'La Manna di Zabbra' is situated in a part of the Madonie National Park, which is one of the most beautiful natural parks in Italy. Our property of 14 hectares is about 15 minutes away from the beach (Valtur). Into the month of March you can view the snow-capped peaks of the highest mountains of the Madonie (skiing area). In a mere 20 minutes you can reach the idyllic town of Cefalu, while the stunning and multicultural capital Palermo is an hour's drive away. The Trattoria is surrounded by olive trees, orange-, tangerine-, and lemon trees and many kinds of fruit trees. Above the Trattoria you will find a little lake with perch and waterfowls. The landscape is characterized by ash trees, which in the months of July and August are producing a precious product, the manna. The manna, along with our special cuisine, is the soul of our Azienda and gave our farm its name. The vegetable production takes place right in front of the Trattoria. You can see where the food that we serve was grown! As a natural product the precious manna in 2002 was included in the list of the Slow Food Presidium. We appreciate the ethics of the Slow Food Presidium and implement them. ... more   less
