Sandefjord, Norway

A very cozy hotel in the middle of Sandefjord sentrum. With its big cozy and beautiful renovated rooms and a la carte restaurant with white table cloths. And not to forget, the very friendly staff and the Welsh guy who sings all the time and the Mexican guy who recomendet a very god tequila. Can not wait to come back.

Charming old building. Lovely furniture with several cozy places to sit and read. Delicious breakfast buffet, beautifully arranged. Lovely, old-fashioned room decor. Problem: could not sleep due to very warm rooms (summer visit). We were on the second floor, and the windows opened over a common area where people are allowed to smoke. Late at night, two people returned to...

It is an old, but newly renovated hotel. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was above average hotel standard. The food was excellent, but the selection was a bit more limited than at bigger hotels. When I stayed there, the price was reasonable.

We booked Double room in Hotel Kong Carl for a single night in August. Since we are smokers, i tried to negotiate for a room with balcony. Then Carlos upgrade our room with Junior suite with private balcony at no extra cost plus he gave us free parking. Thanks Carlos! The rest: Excellent breakfast, free wifi, spacious & quiet room,...

It's nice to see a place where the service is top notch without the use of Swedish staff. We called relatively late and got a good price. The receptionist even moved his car so we could park (even on staff parking). We asked for a cheep room, a single room with a bigger bed as we were traveling on budget,...

Stayed for 2 night on business. Had heard different stories about the hotel. But was pleasantly surprised of how modern the room was. But i saw my colleagues rooms that were of the older style. I guess i got lucky. The staircases and hall ways are old and quiet. Only the squeeking from the floors and doors making it a...

The hotel and staff were excellent. This will be my goto hotel with any future visits to Norway. We are a 4-star luxury hotel family and we rank this hotel along those lines. The hotel is very old and excellent to explore. My 8yo had a blast seeing which rooms she could find and explore in. Pictures on the walls...

We got a big room in the annex beside the parking lot, but It was quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, breakfast items with many choices that were pleasingly displayed. It's a nice area to walk.

Visited in May 2012 and it was lovely, well located, friendly staff. We were in one of the rooms in the annexe beside the parking lot but had no problems with noise. It's a lovely area to just walk around too. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and a wide range of options too. Only reason not a 5 star...

I have been staying here for some days or a week for 19 years every year. The hotel has developed to a much better hotel in these years. The new owners has continued the reconstruction of this old hotel. Their historical rooms are very nice. They have a simpel but nice breakfast. Why book a room in a concrete building...
