A nice hotel with a friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. We had a room in 3th floor where there were a noise we couldnt identify, kept me awake half the night. No elevators for luggage. Good and free parking :) However, all in all, hotel is overpriced in my opinion.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast offering made for a happy stay. Family rooms are clean and spacious and there’s plenty of restaurants just a few minutes walk away. One downside, there is not enough parking when the hotel is busy...

‘Free parking’ Sure, there is no meter on the 3 limited parking zones around the hotel. But there is no space available. Also, plenty of cars parked by morons. Would be valuable if the hotel informed their visitors to park like a sane person for all guests to get a space. Now parked illegally in the driveway if a neighbor. Strike 1. ‘Tv in the room’ I’m not a frequent TV user, but it’s nice that it works once you are tired after a day in the slopes. TV did not work and I had to carry a replacement myself from another room after I asked for a functioning tv. ‘Yeah, we have a bar’ After waiting for the receptionist to arrive at the bar I asked for a beverage menu. On the piece of paper dogged out from below, under ‘bubbles’ I find a Bollinger Champagne Brut and a Prosecco. I ask if they have Cremant or any other dry bubbles besides the 999 nok (€99) Bollinger. They don’t. I ask if there is any chance they have an open Prosecco, as I assume they service this in the restaurant, so that I can taste if it’s really dry (as the menu states), and I explain; if it’s not dry I will have the Bollinger, as I know it well but think it’s a bit expensive for my intended two glasses to share with my wife. The receptionist walks downstairs, return and informs me that they don’t have any open bottles. I conclude; I’ll have the Bollinger. She checks again and explains; we are out. Then I say; alright I’ll have the Prosecco then... she explains; it’s not cold... I had to take a short walk in the fresh cold air to calm down. This is high season, and there should be enough staff and cold drinks. No offer for alternatives. No attempt to solve the problem. A simple; I’m sorry and I walked back to my room 👎🏻

The straff is very helpful and kind, the food is great and the roms are cosy, clean and up to date. The hotel is located with a great view near the heart of Geilo. Its newly renovated, and appears with a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

We visited Geilo due to the long from between Bergen and Oslo that we had a night as a stop after half way drive. We arrived late at around 7 or 8 pm but the staff still introduced what we should know. The room is spacious but no elevator to upper floor. The interior of ground and underground are in progress of renovation that it must be prefect after the completion. The breakfast was good with many choices that we were full before we left. Just wanted to explore Geilo but we did not know ski that the staffs passionately introduced what we could do and lent the equipments to us. After our outdoor enjoyment, they also offered the coffee to us before our departure. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there that we must stay with them if we come again.
