Excellent camping place, super clean, central. Close to the shops and the river, nature and walks. We had one of the smallest cabins and it felt new inside, Avery pleasant stay and as a bonus we got to hear two good concerts from the festival that was happening during that time.

Amazing location by the beautiful lake. New facilities as kitchen and bathroom with modern features. And everything very clean. We’re coming back. Fagernes is a little town surrounded by beautiful mountains and a lake pathway with skater park and play opportunities.

What a spot! Beautiful location and cabins. I was upgraded for free as a premium cabin was vacant. Quiet, warm, excellent facilities and walking distance to Fagernes. Own beach and everything. Fantastic campsite

Very modern, very well-equipped camping park with excellent washing facilities and activities for kids. Stayed in a cabin - it was small and the beds were tiny. Very friendly staff. A place very well-located but more modern than authentic.

My daughter and I stayed here July 2012, did we ever luck out in discovering this hidden gem! There is a restaurant with a deck overlooking the campground and cabins, a beach, and all within walking distance to town (5-10 min)! You can drive right up to the cabins, or campgrounds. The campgrounds are right next door to the outdoor folk museum, which we spent a whole day exploring! We also took in the Jorn Hilme Folk Festival at the museum and even got in touch with some family! The staff speaks English really well (which we found all over Norway), so every day we tried one new item from the Norwegian menu and they happily translated for us! The cabin we stayed in was fully equipped, and I was ecstatic to find even a coffee pot! The linens were available extra for a small fee. It was very clean and modern! The only downside was that there was no bathroom in the cabin, however it was approx. 2 cabins down in a main building, so no problem! I would definitely stay there again!

Stayed here 3 nights with family in camper van.
Helpful staff, great location and facilities unparalleled. Kitchen/dining area really collegiate. Shower/toilet provision modern and well maintained.
Hiking good. Swimming great. Local restaurants and cafes good too. Hope to come back.

Stayed here for two days with my husband and we got a very nice spot for our tent. The facilities are perfect and toilets were cleaned every now and then.

I would have given this place a 5 star if their toilets were placed not that far to the places were they allow campers to put up their tents. It's nonsense to put toilets to places close to those who have caravans/RV's..

Stayed here as part of a road trip to Norway and wasn't disappointed.

we were staying in a campervan and the spots were right by the lake; which made it the perfect place to stay for the evening.

The site is also very well equipped and the facilities were immaculate.

Would definitely recommend this place to any travellers looking for a clean and hospitable place to stay.

What a friendly place, and what a nice location! The only thing this place is missing is a restaurant down by the lake, and a decent shop. We found a great spot for our caravan, with lakeside view. The new facilities are modern and fresh, and the bathrooms are huge and super comfortable. The manager was friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed the policy that we could stay as long as we wanted/just pay when you leave. No stress! We will return next year!

I just spent one night at this camping ground. I rented one of the smallest cabine (without toilets).
I had a perfect night.
Toilets and showers are in a big building... Looked brand new. Super clean and plenty of room. First time I experienced such facilities at a camping ground. Impressive !
The lady at the reception was also very friendly.
