Hotels location is good. Rooms were clean but little bit worn out. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Restaurant is good and nice just in front of the beach, although prices were higher and food was not as delicious as in other restaurants at the same area. Especially we liked the breakfast; it was delicious and many-sided. Hotel has its own beach which was very comfortable. They kept it also clean in spite of some heavy rainstorms which made the lagoon in the village flooding, and brought lots of garbage to the sea. On thing we did not like, was the amont of plastic bottels and other trash floting in the sea. But of course it is not the hotels fault, they triet to do their best to clean out the beach every day.

Excellent staff, always very helpful and friendly. Their service was very good at all times. Beautiful and vast beach. Nice quiet environment to enjoy and relax. Food was average as there was not much of a spread, especially on Christmas day. Most of the time it seemed a repetition or a re-make of what was there at the previous meal. The standard rooms are very small and very basic compared to rooms of the same category in other hotels. The washroom was miserable as there was almost no space between the commode and the door even to go in. The shower area had not been cleaned properly when we checked into the room and we had to get a person to clean the bathroom as there was hair clogged in the shower area outlet which created a huge block. We arrived just past midnight to find the security guard fast asleep right at the entrance to the lobby area.

I was there 14 days quarantine at Jetwing Sea. As a solo person inside a room for 14 days it was not easy at all. I was impressed by this worker, his name was Premasiri. Every morning like clock work he tends to the garden and is dedicated in making the surroundings spick and span. It's workers like this howver small that contribute to making a stay a pleasant one

We called the reception in the morning to ask for information about the hotel and they were so kind and helpful. We are very happy with the way they spoke to us on the phone and once we arrived the entire stuff gave us a very warm welcome and offered fresh made drinks... from reception, restaurant, kitchen to pool everything was at its best.

Our mandatory 14-day quarantine at Jetwing Sea was a positive experience mainly due to the wonderful kitchen and room service teams. In particular, Chef Ranil was extremely attentive to our food preferences/dietary restrictions and went above and beyond to ensure our special requests were delivered to world-class perfection! This included a custom-ordered, spectacular grilled seafood dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Allow Chef Ranil and his incredible team to wow you on your next trip to Sri Lanka with their gastronomic delights! Jetwing Sea is lucky to have such capable professionals on board.

We stayed at the Jetwing Sea in Negombo for one night in January 2020 and would happily have stayed longer. The hotel is well located on the beach. An early swim in the sea cast off any travel fatigue. We enjoyed both hotel pools. Our dinner was greatly enjoyed overlooking the beach and the same location for breakfast offered views of the fishing boats. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The staff are very good. We will happily return to this hotel.

Love this hotel!! It has become one of my favourites for short holidays away from Colombo. Very clean and comfortable rooms.. has 2 pools which my 3 Yr old loves.. The beach area in front of the hotel is very clean and has soft white sand which we prefer.. (further up the negambo stretch the sand is a bit coarser and orangish).. At each point of interaction, the service is incredible. The staff are super friendly and so accommodating unlike a lot of other hotels in Sri Lanka that have become so rigid and lost the essence of hospitality. I also love how this hotel genuinely focuses on being eco friendly.. It uses solar energy.. And also uses glass instead of plastic wherever possible. Keep up the great work!

This looks like the oldest of the Jetwing hotels on the beach in Negombo. The checkin and checkout were both impeccable. We were booked in the Suite 407 for three nights, over a long weekend on half board. On the first night we had an excellent set menu for dinner. The buffet breakfast now lacks cereals, probably due to the import restricitons. The menu comsisted of all locally produced food, though including mini American pancakes. The action stations include eggs (including Poached, subcontracted to the kitchen), and hoppers. The highlight was the Saturday dinner buffet. The room with the jacuzzi is quite luxurious, though less so than Jetwing Blue, which has a wood closed outer deck. The design of the room made the mos of the space, and even an extra bed didn't dent the space available. There are two, two-way closets which open both to the bathroom as well as the room proper, so that you can access all your clothes wihtout wetting the main room. There was a loose plug socket for the shaver, and some controls of the jacuzzi were not working. The shower head is easily loosened, so came off once. The housekeeping and maintenance attended to a few rthings. The sofa contained a previous guest's shorts, which we returned to housekeeping. The Jetwing Smile and prompt service was always apparent, and literally no one dropped the ball. The pool on the right is better, because it is less windy during the rainy season - the other is just too cold to enjoy when the wind is blowing. The hotel and beach is very instagrammable, if you are fan of the late-Hebert Cooray glory days in the early history of Sri Lankan sun, sea and sand. The car park is inadequate, and we had to park outside in the street, causing a bit of stress, but nothing untoward happened. There are several good restaurants on the opposite side of the road, from Bella Vita (Leonardo's Pizza if you prefer), and Toro's Pub & restaurant, and even an Il Gelato (premium Italian ice cream). All the fast food places are in the main town. We drove to the Dutch Canal (near Jewel Lanka) and enjoyed 90 minutes in the mangroves and lagoon.

We had a really nice stay here as a family and could definitely recommend for a few days. Staff were friendly and attentive. Both of our rooms were upgraded and were a great size and very comfortable. The rooms were surface level clean but could do with deeper cleaning. The bath and toilet bowl needed furthing bleaching. Food and drinks were very good and breakfast buffet had lots of options. Unfortunately there are no air conditioned areas in the hotel so it was very hot whilst eating breakfast and in the beach facing restaurant during the day. The pool area has limited sun loungers (we counted only 10) but wasn't very busy on the days we stayed luckily. Perhaps they have more for busy times? I didn't like the fact we were asked if we wanted water at breakfast time to find later we had been charged for bottled water instead of being served free water from jugs that we were offered at other meal times?? I questioned it and said it was in bad taste to charge for add ones like water when breakfast was included in price....firstly without being told at time it was chargeable and secondly when there was a free option?? They were already making a lot of money from us since we had 2 rooms for 2 nights, used the spa and had a 28 person dinner that afternoon for extended family! Of course they removed the charge but just felt it really spoilt the good rapport we had built with them. There are sellers in the area but security do move them on and beach is relatively quiet compared to other resorts on the same trip.
