I stayed here for a night while going to a concert in Boxen, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. For 2 stars this hotel was above expectations. It had all the necessary amenities and more! Great parking, excellent breakfast spread and friendly staff. Can highly recommend for short stay visitors :)

Very simple hotel. Small rooms, no vaccum cleaning the 19 days i lived there, but bed was made and clean towel every day. Good breakfast. One strange incident happend. I had 2 beds in my room. I had my huge bag on the bed that I was'nt sleep in, like I do when i travel with the large bag, but one day when I came back my bag layed on the floor in the middle of the small room, and the "bag bed" was made up... I wrote on a paper regarding my view of personal privacy in hotels, and after that my bag was left in the second bed.

I had to stay one night in Herning and my reservation was done very late so there wasn't many hotels left to book. Hotel Herning had the best rating of the hotels that were closest to my meeting the next day so I chose this hotel. First impressions weren't very good, waiting in the reception area for almost 20 minutes without meeting anyone. But when the owner arrived everything changed. The hospitality and engagement is fantastic. Really good service and the breakfast is actually really nice. The hotel it self is a cheap stay and you get what you pay for but there is a flatscreen with a hdmi connector so you can easily plug your laptop to the tv. The bed is decent and there is even a small gym.

Very small room, toilet/shower cubicle is like a portaloo and would look out of place at a music festival. No evening dining facilities, bar closes at 6pm so if you want a drink you use the vending machine. Single bed was very small and uncomfortable.

Response from Jesper B, Direktør at Hotel Herning
Responded Mar 10, 2017
Hallo Iain Crawf Thank you for reviewing Hotel Herning. We are of course sad to learn that you were not satisfied with your stay. But all the things you describe as flaws are all things that we inform about on our online booking sites. You booked through booking.com where there is a clear and good description of our hotel. We don’t have any restaurant and haven’t had for many years that is also communicated through our online platforms. The reception and bar is normally open until 6 pm. and that is noted on all our confirmations that we send out. But on the 8th of March when you stayed here the reception was open until 10 pm. I was personally on call. We will of course look into replacing the bed if something is wrong with it, but it is difficult to meet every ones demand when it comes to beds. If you decide give us another try, please book directly through us and not booking.com, since booking.com bookings automatically will be placed in our smaller rooms with our cabin bathroom. We always try to reward the customers who book directly through the hotel, so we don’t pay any commission to external booking agencies. Regards Hotel Herning

Not even for one night, or if I have to go to an event in MCH Messecenter Herning. And if I have to go to Herning arear, there are many other hotels there will top this hotel, by miles, and even cheaper... The bathroom small, moist and unsanitary. And the bed was also small, I know I'm 190cm, but still, it haven't been a problem, at most of the hotels I have been to. If I do have to say one positive thing, the breakfast was good.
