Somewhat trapped on a Sunday and this was the only restaurant available. The fact that it was virtually empty despite the half full associated campsite is telling. A tired looking awning that had not been cleaned for years gave the game away. The meal cost 3x the equivalent meals experienced in Spain the previous three weeks but was not as good. Stringy salad and tasteless chicken painted "artistically" with balsamic vinegar did not improve the lack of flavour. I asked for a plate of chips as an extra and 4 tiny chips arrived in a square for further "artistic" effect. All style and little substance. Lesson learnt. Avoid French restaurants that are empty. Waiter took on board comments so got a large tip out of my guilt for maybe upsetting him. French restaurants in this area are way overpriced and few are any good. How I miss Spain.

We had 2 rooms booked here with AC that worked decently, which was important to us.Staff was able to accomodate our poor French attempts and communicate somewhat in English. The parking was safe and conveniently situated in a lot beside the hotel. The rooms were clean. The lake seemed more of a river with a bank for boating but not swimming. The restaurant staff did not really want to bother with us. They seemed irritated at our imperfect French? We started with one waitress and another took over but either they were just in the weeds or they purposely procrastinated our service? I would not eat here again.

Small hotel next to the lake with secure parking opposite. Rooms a bit old fashion and basic but ok for one night. Bar prices very high but the hotel next door within walking distance is much cheaper. The evening meal was very nice and plenty of it. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast was rather basic but you are in France! Would stay again if passing through

Good sized room, shower was OK but that's about it really, nothing much to say about it, OK for a stopover. Breakfast was a bit basic but the evening meal was better than some we had. No draught beer but found some in the hotel next door. All a bit too basic.

Inter-Hotel du Lac, Labarre, Is nearer Labarre than Foix, not far From the "lake" off the D919. Finding it took a little time, Turn at "Foix Plage" you'Il be fine. This is an excellent hotel With a very good restaurant as well. The room was comfortable and spacious, Good English spoken, staff gracious, Parking outside without stress, Set in grounds by the lake, I would guess Popular in high season, a success. We are there I had meat "a large boucher" I was told , but it tasted like butcher. The rest of the food was superb, "Tagliatelli with gambas" the blurb, Four prawns and sauce of great flavour. Plus fois gras and pickle to savour. The delicious "tiramasu" I surmise Was nothing Italians would recognise.
