What's not to love about Cow Bay Homestay? I arrived here in the failing light one evening but found my way easily with Marion's excellent instructions that she had emailed prior to my arrival. The Homestay is located in a beautiful setting on a large block of land that you can walk around, and a short drive (or walk if... More

This is idyllic accommodation in the middle of the rain forest. When we arrived we were greeted by Marion with a very welcome cup of Daintree tea and an overview of Daintree. Each morning we woke to a plentiful breakfast including homemade bread that my daughter still talks of, which set us up for the day to explore this beautiful... More

The area north of the Daintree is known for it's unspoiled rain forests & beaches and this home stay is located in one of the most beautiful and convenient parts of it. The home is nicely fitted out, comfortable & relaxing. Mine host, Marion, is easy going, very helpful with local info, bookings etc and inobtrusive so it's easy to... More

It was a wooden cottage in the middle of jungle. We wished we had stayed longer. It was a very beautiful place with large window/doors opening to the beautiful garden that you could spend hours just staring at or relaxing with your book. The bed was very comfortable and we could hear birds singing the whole night. Marian was very... More

From the moment you turn down the steep slope, over the bridge then up to the house you realise this is no ordinary B&B. It is a beautifully built wooden guest house set in a garden in the Daintree rain forest, peaceful and original. The standard of accommodation is high there are two rooms which share a very large communal... More

When you get to the B&B in Cow Bay you definetely feel like being in a jungle, which is great. The house is very special, you can basically open all the side walls like windows and so have a great view into the beautiful garden, with nice flowers and butterflies. You can also enjoy this while relaxing in the hammock which... More

We had a 2 day stay with Marion and Brian and it was relaxing and in beautiful surroundings, but we were disappointed by some things. The gardens around the B and B are just a paradise. The bedrooms were lovely, clean and Marion's breakfast was wonderful. But we stayed in late February and whilst Marion says they don't need air conditioning... More

Thank you for your compliments on our house and gardens. Summer in the tropics can be hot and humid and we may underestimate the natural discomforts of a wet season. Some of the bigger resorts here are operating on generator power and do offer aircondtioning in their rooms. I hope you will visit the North again during a cooler time... More

We spent 2 nights here at the beginning of April 2012. The property is lovely with a cosy bedroom in a wonderful common area. There are comfy chairs, daybeds and hammocks scattered around to lend a truly bohemian air to the place. In addition Marion spends a lot of time and care welcoming you to the area and giving lots... On our first afternoon, we simply sat in the garden and soaked up the atmosphere, the rainforest and wildlife and the sound of the creek running quietly below - it was divine! My wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cow Bay Homestay. It's set in a beautiful garden in the middle of the forest. The main house has two guest rooms at opposite ends, in between is a living area open to both sides, with a view of the gardens. The beds are comfy, rooms and bathrooms are well... More
