An old-style motel which has been nicely refurbished. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Kitchenette with microwave. Close to a hotel which serves very good meals. A small pool. Limited (solar) hot water. No Wi-Fi and uncertain mobile ph reception, but this is normal for the area.
We were with 2 other families and had a family room each.
Ours was the best as had 2 single beds for kids plus a small lounge.
Was spotless and kitchenette was useful for quick breakfast before setting off.

Our family of 6 stayed here for 5 nights. Its a great place to stay. Fairly cosy for us all. What sets it apart is the great barbecue against the backdrop of the rainforest, and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff such as Travis....More

Yes - we had a similar situation and had to be at fishing at 7 am on the south side of the ferry (the wharf is literally right there once you cross over the ferry which only takes lik 10 minutes). I'd leave the Daintree Resort at 5:30-5:45 and be right there when the ferry opens. You'll be in plenty of time!
Tip - on your way driving up to Daintree (If you're coming from Cairns) stop at the Woolworth's Grocery store in Mossman and pick up food for breakfast. Most rooms at the Daintree have a kitchenette so you can make something to eat before you head out. There's nothing available by the wharf.
The Daintree Resort was really great - hope you enjoy your trip!
