We did not know what we were heading to when we arrived at Daintree Crocodylus as another member of our party had book this part of our trip. So at first glance we were surprised at our basic but roomy tent with floors and walls. Once we got over our shock at communal showers etc we settled in. I had... More

The accommodation is basic, as you'd expect, but a lot better than a tent! The room we stayed in (milk wood 2), had a double bed and 2 bunk beds (so, could have had 6 people in the room). All the beds had mosquito netting. The showers (separate, in a block) are fine- as long as you use during the... More

We stayed two nights in a comfortable bed, fresh towels daily, a great shower and everything that the website described. To sleep within the rainforest was an experience not to be missed and one that we will always remember - the freshness of the air, the stillness of the night and the sounds of the birds. The staff were friendly,... More

I recently stayed at the Daintree Crocodylus for 3 nights. Whilst the setting was lovely with the rainforest 'just outside the door', I was really disappointed with the accommodation. I know you get what you pay for, but basic is an understatement. You could only shower at certain times of the day and the toilet did not flush at night... More

Just a couple of notes in reply: Shower times are 7-10.30am and 4.30-8.30pm - toilets flush and taps run ALL the time however toilets will fill up much more slowly overnight as we are on a gravity feed water system and a small generator at that time. We have no power plugs available in the rooms to control power usage... More

Although I enjoyed the laid back feel at Crocodylus, no one would argue that it's not going to suit everyone. This is a unique rainforest experience and you need to be prepared for the realities of that: insects, humidity, rain, etc. Crocodylus was our version of camping. Our accommodation was the Penda bungalow and it was spacious and comfortable although... More

If you like to stay in five star (or even four star) hotels, this place is not for you. However, if sleeping in the depths of the rainforest with only a canvas wall between you and the wildlife sounds appealing, Crocodylus is a "do not miss" experience. The communal kitchen is clean and well-equipped, and doing our own catering worked... More

We had an 8 man cabin which had its own bathroom, was in the middle of the woods, very clean and pleasant. Owners were friendly. There was also a nice pub down the road with reasonable priced food as well as at crocodylus. We really enjoyed our stay bar the endless Mosquito bites!!

We did a really nice over night trip to Snapper Island with the Guide Guy. We had a pretty good time with lot's of snorkeling and kajaking. So why only 4 stars. We left our camping equipment in the car because Daintree Crocodylus made the camping equipment available. But it is really just basic equipment and we would prefer to... More

I stayed there with my girlfriend for 2 nights and it's just what we wanted, a quiet place in the middle of nature! it's kind of luxury camping with hotel rooms in the rainforest. the staff is great, definitely try to get dinner or breakfast there, the food was delicious, and also a perfect location to do everything in the... We stayed one night and the experience was amazing. The place is pretty nice and we will never forget our night in the rain forest. We have been upgraded for free in 2 big tents with their own shower and toilets. It was very clean. We really appreciated the balcony. The owner (male) was very friendly and helpfull with us...
