I booked 5 days via booking site and must say that it was Best decision. Location near bus stop, many markets nearby, main beach promenada just several minutes by foot. Hotel is magnificient. Although it's listed as 4 star I must say it's better than some 5 stars hotel in rome, paris, athens.... Service is great starting from reception to cleaning staff. Rooms are very clean, everything is on touch tehnology. Spacious and very clean bathroom, robes and slippers available as well. Restaurant has very good breakfast and plenty variations for all the likings. If you come late there is no worries, food is always checked and it's impossible to see empty plates in food zone. We also Had lunch in Restaurant and menu have so many dishes that is very hard to chose. Prices are also ok compared to restaurants in Herceg Novi. On reception you can book various excursions, we booked Dubrovnik and it was realy good organized. I Will deffinitely recomend this hotel as must stay If you choose Montenegro and don't like pretentious Budva and prefere quiete vacation.

Hotel Acd is modern, cleany and confortable. The staff was very politely. I asked them for taxi and they called the taxi immediatly. If you want to go to the center of the city you can go easly with a taxi only for 4 euro. Breakfeast is very good. Thankey Hotel Acd for the hospitality. I will come back again. 😊😊😊

Talk about a game of two halves! This 34-bedroom boutique-style hotel is only a couple of years old, and was built to a high specification, with lots of gleaming marble, glass and water features. Our third-floor suite had a comfortable lounge area with small balcony looking out onto the hills behind the hotel. Both it and the spacious bedroom had a TV and fridge, while the bathroom was equipped with everything you could possibly need, from a superb walk-in power shower to a pair of weighing scales. Lighting was on an impressively efficient electronic system, the air-conditioning was efficient and the bed extremely comfortable. Towels were changed daily, and the housekeeping team kept the whole place impeccably clean. We didn't use the spa, but the rooftop swimming pool area, though small, was a very pleasant place to relax. So far, so good...but I don't understand why an organisation which has paid so much attention to getting the actual hotel right could fail so miserably on the food it offers. We had a half-board deal, but after dinner the first night we refused to eat there. The soup was made from powder ( which hadn't dissolved), the pork was tough, chewy, and tasteless, and the vegetables had been boiled to oblivion. We thought breakfast would be OK, but we were very wrong! There was a selection of pastries, with savoury mixed among the sweet versions, so it was pot luck what you got. The bacon was greasy, the sausages were so leathery they couldn't be cut, the fried eggs were stone cold, the scrambled eggs rubbery - and don't get me started on the hard-boiled eggs! When my husband cut into his he found the yolk to be a greeny-grey colour all the way through. Yuck! Because there was no cafe to go to nearby, we opted for bread and jam to be on the safe side...until one day there was no butter. The supervisor to whom I complained proudly gave me a dish with three packets of what turned out to be margarine the next morning, despite there being four of us. And when we asked for more, he provided two more packets, one of which had already been part-used! Still, I suppose we were lucky...there was no butter on the buffet for a whole two days (and they ran out of bread the following day!). Another word of warning - there is a large outside seating area for the restaurant and bar. This is covered, but when it rains the whole place gets soaking wet, and we found ourselves sitting in puddles of water at a couple of meals. Also, the marble floor gets very slippery when wet. Staff-wise, we found the reception team friendly, but the bar and restaurant staff were surly, monosyllabic and unhelpful. Meljine itself is just a stretch of the main road about 2km outside Herceg Novi, and has no centre. The road is busy and I know some people have complained about the noise, but with our rooms at the back this wasn't a problem. The promenade leading to Herceg Novi can be accessed just across the road, and is a 40-minute leisurely walk to the old town. There is a supermarket just across the road and a bus stop within yards of the hotel, but with taxis readily available at a cost of anything from 2-3.75 Euros (depending on the route taken), we never used them. This made the price quoted by the hotel for a transfer from Dubrovnik Airport all the more surprising. They asked for 80 Euros each way for four of us, while we found a local company (Transfer-Novi) who provided the same service for exactly half that amount.

I rate the hotel very positively. We had a comfort room with a sea view on the 3rd floor with a cozy, sheltered balcony, where we spend evenings. The room and the entire hotel were very modern, all electronically controlled - including information whether the cleaning lady is to come or not. Air conditioning working fine, kettle and fridge in the room. Daily change of towels and thrown garbage. On the roof of the hotel on the fourth floor there was a pleasant, small pool with a view of the whole area. A big plus for non-plastic sunbeds and free use of towels. The meals were good, we had an full board option. Standard breakfasts. The choice of dishes for lunch and dinner may not have been wide, but every day there were two types of meat and one type of fish, so surely everyone could choose something for themselves. I read opinions about stomach revolutions - nothing like that happened to us! All the staff were very nice and helpful, especially the lady at the pool. They speak English very well, so there was no problem to comunicate. Generally, there is nothing to fault and the hotel deserves its 4 stars. The area is also ok, not on the first shoreline, but all you have to do is cross the street and get to the little port, and from there it's not far to the beach. To the center of Herceg Novi about 40 minutes walk. Next to the hotel there is a bus stop and a shop with affordable prices. I highly recommend this hotel :)

Currently staying here Downsides Great looking hotel, clean but have to say restaurant staff are miserable Booked half board and food is not good at all Stone cold eggs in morning.no toaster. Evening meal..well we haven't ate it as it's so poor in selection ..buffet style and not appealing at all One of the waitresses has been fabulous up on the nice rooftop bar but today they sacked her ! She is the only one who has made an effort to make us feel welcome.. Good points Great location outside of old town hercegnovi Approx 30/40 minute walk to old town along the beachfront which is just over the road Ideal to get bus up to kotor and back over to dubrovnik

Pleasant employees. Good looking building, but situated at main road, noise is sometimes very high! Well equipped rooms. Often problems with smart key card. Rush at small parking, I parked out my rent-a-car almost 10 minutes. Expensive SPA. Towels not changing at pool chairs. Manager/owner not in good mood, monitoring guests like a security guard while he drinks coffee in garden. My advice is to skip this hotel, there are cheaper and pleasant hotels around.

On the plus side when I complained about the conditions of the apartment and explained that the conditions were not habitable the young man at reception agreed and did his best to refund my booking. We booked for 3 nights. On arriving we were taken to the apartment behind the hotel. It was dirty and dim, when I entered I was very quickly shown around in the dark. Here is the list of issues most egregious first. 1) thick mould and damp on the ceilings and walls 2) Broken windows 3) non-functioning air con (we were there August that day had been 37°) 4) rotten broken kitchen units 5) filthy kettle 6) toilet was in the kitchen behind a door, was tiny, had no paper 7) broken furniture with pieces of MDF laid over the top, broken sofas 8) no sheets for the pull out bed for my kids although these were sent after when requested 9) broken appliances left in room 10) no hallway light pitch black at night 11) had TV in bedroom but reception was so poor it couldn't be watched In NO way do the photos on the booking site resemble the apartment we were put in. We actually left and had to find new accommodation at 9pm with 2 young children. We thankfully did and the new place exceeded our expectations.

Newly refurbished Hotel in Montenegro. Staff great and very willing to service. Greet location with regards to the coast and seaside where there are a lot of places to swim in the bay. Food is great, dinner is generous in portion size and food options. Pool and sky deck is also great. Overall a great spot worth considering if going to the region.

Me, my husband and our 4 year old daughter had a great stay. Hotel is nice and modern. Pool it self arent very big, but the pool area is nice and modern, you can order drinks and food there. The spa area is so nice, finnish sauna/russian sauna/steam room/salt room/jungle shower, you had to tell spa staf 30 minute before you go spa. We stayed first 2 night in comfort standar room, room was also modern and nice, with balcony. 1 night we stayed suite park view, room was also nice, only one problem WiFi didint work. And the whole staff was so nice and friendly! The hotel got a good vibe!
