This hotel has comfortable rooms, a nice restaurant and a very good location. The rooms are not very large but enough for short stays. The personnel is kind and helpful. I would advise the travellers to choose this hotel for their stay in Kardzhali.
This hotel was built sometime in the early 80's and is one of Kardjali's landmarks. Right now it is being completely renovated, floor by floor. At the time of our stay the first 3 floors had undergone renovation. Although the rooms are a bit small, they offer a comfortable and clean stay. Staff is professional and friendly. Breakfast is open buffet and is delicious. Arpezos is the best hospitality option in town.
I spend one night on this hotel with my family due to some unfortunately events. Nice hotel with large family room. Small bathrooms compare with entire room space. There is no balcony and rooms are not separated by any door. The price is very good. I recommend if you have a stop in this city. Breakfast is rather poor and modest.
Good points first: The hotel was recently renovated by the looks of it. The room was relatively comfortable and clean. No issues there. Bad points: 1) the hotel doesn’t seem like it has a very good escape plan if (god forbid) there were ever a fire. There’s one set of stairs and then elevators. If the fire is on the stairs then I’m afraid you’re gonna have to jump or hope you’re saved. Thankfully I wasn’t on a high floor so I reckon I’d have been able to jump and survive with broken legs if things got bad. 2) the room consumables were frugally placed. 1x toilet roll, 1x small shampoo, 1x towel, 1x tea bag, 1x coffee sachet. 3) There are no double beds in the entire hotel. Just two singles pushed together. 4) there was a window in my shower which looked out onto my corridor so anyone walking to the end of the corridor can watch you shower. 5) Gym is minging and full of ancient equipment 6) Staff are rude and completely unhelpful. The one woman on the front desk I had the misfortune to ask for basic help from was the most miserable and bad tempered individual I’ve met in Bulgaria. I asked her for a toilet roll and I got a stroppy tut and she shuffled off in a mood and came back with a plastic bag full of hand towels. Same woman when asked for an iron and board came up to my room with just an iron and when I asked about whether she had a board gave me a similar stroppy attitude before shuffling off to get me a board. I’d definitely give this place a swerve if you’re in town. It’s like something straight out of pre 1989 Cold War Eastern Europe, and to be honest it belongs back there. …
A renovated hotel. I stayed in the suite. The room is very spacious, nice decorated and comfortable, with large balcony. A great bathroom and extraordinary shower. The price is very good. I recommend if you have a stop in this city. Breakfast is rather poor and modest. It's one serving per person and it's not a buffet. The area around the hotel is not very attractive ...
