The Tarra-Bulga Guest House and lyrebird café are situated in Balook - a unique location adjacent to the cool, temperate rainforests of the Tarra-Bulga National Park and surrounds.Built in 1934, our historic building was and still is a wonderful place to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal and a restful night's sleep. Located just two hours drive from Melbourne, we're also the perfect gateway spot for relaxation and rejuvenation, or as a base for exploring the 110 kms of walking tracks.

Beautiful spot. Situated close to the visitor information centre & local walks. Friendly & hospitable owners. Relaxed venue to watch the rosellas, get warm & have a meal/ snack. Don’t miss the odd snow showers in winter.
