My best friend and her fiancé got married in this stunning venue the last weekend in August and I think it will go down in their history as one of the most amazing weddings ever to take place! It was a fantastic day from start to finish and this was the perfect fairytale setting. My husband and I spent the week here with all of our closest friends and got to experience all the chateau had to offer including the swimming pool, bar, and the grounds for walks which were splendid. The property was the perfect size to cater for #Jaggerfest2019 and JP, Dean, Zoe and Gerry thank you for being so welcoming, accommodating and great fun! Hope get to come back and visit soon and party more xx 🥳🇫🇷
We went to my cousin / Goddaughter's wedding in July 2019 and it was the most spectacular event we have have ever witnessed. There were people from all over the world who were mesmerised by the weekend, catering, accommodation, ambience and most of all the couple who organised such a fabulous event for everyone who attended. The backdrop to the day was delightful and credit most go to the management of the chateau and its team. Great memories 🇮🇪🤣🍾🍀😎💋🙏🏼 John & Alison
It is a stunning chateau with gorgeous grounds and is beautifully kept. Anyone that wants the perfect wedding venue and setting, look no further as this is it ! As you drive through the gates and down the tree lined road , you know your somewhere very special and when the chateau comes into view it takes your breath away! Our daughter got married here in may and it was just the most perfect and magical place to have held her wedding. But to top that , what really makes this place stand out from the rest is the 3 people that look after and run it ( JP , Dean & Deirdre )Their hard work, friendliness, sheer dedication and flare provide a very special and exceptional experience. We couldn't stop crying when we left and are already planning our return. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts .…
Invited to wedding ceremony/reception at the chateau. Lovely grounds with separate conference centre. The chateau is beautifully kept inside and out. Lovely classic decor with Art Deco statuettes and curios. There is a quirky bar in the basement with soft furnishings, a strong music theme of guitars hung on wall and framed album covers aplenty! The chateau is near the town La Roche Chalais. We stayed in saint Aigulin, a 12 euro cab ride away! Not much to do in La Roche / saint Aigulin
What a beautiful place! We had the most perfect time. We hired the entire estate for a wedding and family get together. The memories made here will never be forgotten! Security, French countryside , modern chateau without losing style or history, place to make memories. We loved that there was no reception / restaurant and we could make it our own plus there were people on site to help if we needed it.
- a beautiful castle for conferences, team events, weddings - all the bedrooms and bathrooms have been renovated - a big beautiful garden around the castle - has a swimming pool and 2 tennis courts - a different building for events - a winter garden for the rainy days - it’s not a hotel, so you need a wedding planner for the weddings - she has contacts with catering and all the other suppliers - our 4 days wedding was just SUPERB
We hired the whole chateau for our wedding this month and had an amazing time! The venue is huge and every single room is stunning, with its own colour schemes and tasteful decor; the attention to detail is unbelievable. Our guests were blown away and wanted to stay longer! There was enough room to have most of our wedding party stay on site and as a lot of people were coming from around the world, we booked the venue for several days, turning it into a mini holiday for everyone. There was so much to do, from swimming, playing tennis and generally just relaxing with good food and wine (and karaoke in the jazz bar!) in one of the most beautiful settings! We will definitely be coming back!
Was looking for somewhere to really get away, and absolutely adored my stay there this summer. It was just what we were looking for and would definitely go back. Stunning grounds, lovely pool, and an incredibly grand Chateau.
Spent a wonderful 5 days in the hidden retreat in a stunning part of France. You have your own access to 2 tennis courts (we played a LOT of tennis) and you have your own swimming pool, complete with swimming house with a bar and other amenities. Again, we spent a lot of time there too! The house itself is pretty amazing. I honestly felt like I was a character out of a Pride and Prejudice but it's not too grand that you feel uncomfortable there. Perfect for a big group of people who want a get away but you wont feel like you're on top of each other. There is a big supermarket (within walking distance) and nice shops and restaurants in the local village. The area is also know for its local drink: Pineau de Charente. It is a fortified wine made from either fresh, unfermented grape juice or a blend of lightly fermented grape must, to which a Cognac eau-de-vie is added and then matured. Buy a few bottles. Let them chill and serve with lots of ice. I'm already planning next year's retreat.…
The Chateau de la Valouze is an idyllic, beautiful property with stunning grounds and gardens, tennis courts and swimming pool. When I was there I felt like I had wandered into the castle from Beauty and the Beast! The apartments are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable - the kitchen has everything you need. I had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely getaway in the countryside. The little town nearby has excellent croissants as well!
