Stayed in one of the cottages. Lovely, peaceful, pleasant stay. Unfortunately the WiFi doesn't work in the cottages. As the cottages are self catering then breakfast isn't included and is pretty expensive for what you get. Ate in both the restaurants during our stay. Staff in both restaurants were excellent. Spa was nice, though we didn't pay for any treatments.... More

Absolutely love this place, so much so that it pains me to share it with others! The leisure experience is the best I have experienced and on a par (I am reliably informed) with Gleneagles' spa. The rugged coastline and Scottish landscape is enhanced by this unexpected gem of wood and glass, and all things outdoor. The accommodations and food... More

Everything and more - we couldn't quite believe it when we walked in. Fantastic first class accommodation. Beautiful views. Such a shame it was only for two nights. Beds were comfy. All mod cons. Never got time to use sauna I'm sure we'll be back at some point.

This is the third time we've been to Portavadie this year. We were also there in March and June. The place is absolutely brilliant. Approximately a 2 hour drive from Glasgow you get to see a lovely part of the country. We stayed in a townhouse which is one of the 11 luxury apartments. On arrival we had lunch at... More

Me and my partner recently booked up for the "couples retreat" , once arrived we realised it was only one cabin at the loch foe the couples section - which totally added to the romance. The staff couldn't have been anymore welcome, and we just want to add that whilst we were away - to my surprise - we got... More

My wife and I decided to get away from it all for a short mid week break. We saw an advert for Portavadie in a magazine and by chance heard from friends who had either been there or nearby that it would suit us very well. And so it did. We loved the relatively remote location but it was well... More

This was our first trip to Portavadie and we'll definitely be back. The location is so beautiful, and the complex has been developed in a way which is very sensitive to this unique environment. We stayed in a Lodge room which was spacious and modern. The bed was especially comfortable! We made the most of the spa and the pool,... More

Been to portavadie a couple of times once to stay and once just for the day. The apartments are just stunning, I could have happily stayed there forever. The spa area is fantastic with the luxury of the heated infinity pool looking out to the most spectacular Scottish views. Very much worth a visit.

This is a great marina and I look forward to going back. The staff are very helpful and the restaurant is very nice too, the food is good. The leisure centre is new and a nice place to visit. Well worth a visit either by boat or car.
