I've travelled and travelled and travelled. Nowhere comes close to this idyllic, magical beauty spot in the west of Scotland. We found this place not long after it was refurbished and have been visiting ever since, with each year something new and a voting being added. Our favourite accommodation is the Studio Apartments as they have a view (and an... More

Stayed here in July. Some of family stayed in cottage as had dog which not allowed in apartments. We stayed in luxury apartment. Cottage very comfortable and decent value. Apartment was extremely comfortable with excellent facilities even if we did not use them-e.g. Kitchen!! Not cheap but great quality. Is spa with outdoor infinity pool which looks out to Loch... Checked in and went to our room in the Lodge as the staff called it, on entering the room we were pleasantly surprised high ceiling, nice big bed and balcony. The separate toilet had a wash hand basin and the bath with shower over also had wash hand basin, good for when you are both getting ready to go out.... More

Spent a week in the large apartments overlooking the marina. Could not find fault with any of the accommodation with loads of room for grandparents, parents and two children. Three en suite bathrooms and a large family sauna and bathroom. Had breakfast each day with very attentive staff. Pools all really warm and everything very clean. Will be back.

I stayed in one of the luxury apartments here recently for a girls weekend away. The whole complex is absolutely beautiful and everything is clean and modern. Our apartment slept six, and was generously sized with 3 huge bathrooms, a sauna and a fantastic balcony overlooking the marina. The outdoor pool and hot tubs are a fantastic way to spend... More

After a long journey on some single track road, we reached our destination, and what a find! Portavadie is an unusual place. It reminded us of a film set. It's quite unfinished in parts, and if you walk out of the immediate area at one side, it's a bit of a dumping ground for all sorts of debris. I'm sure... More

Just on my way back from our honeymoon which we had here for 2 days. Stayed in the lodges which were really nice and spacious, loved that the bathroom and toilet were seperate as partner takes forever in the shower! The lodge room in itself was very light, quite clean certain things need a good clean but didn't effect the... More

We have just returned from an amazing short break at Portavadie & we couldn't rate it high enough! The standard of the accomodation is definitely 5*! They have thought of everything!
