I stayed in cottage 1 with my husband and our 1 year old son for 3 nights. We've stayed at portavadie many times, and we do absolutely love it but I have to say this time we found a few things disappointing. We've stayed in the self catering apartments and the couples retreat but since our son came along the... More

Stayed here for an overnight as a late birthday present from my husband. We had a superior lodge which was well positioned and immaculate. Very warm and cosy for a cold November night. The Infinity pool was amazing lovely and warm and the view to die for one of the best moments for me of any holiday. The food was... More

We visited here for an overnight stay arranged by my partner as a surprise for my birthday. On arrival, we made our way to the reception, only to be directed to another check in for the lodges. The female member of staff who gave us our keys couldn't have been more unwelcoming or unhelpful if she tried. We were trying... More

We have just returned from a two night stay at Portavadie. We stayed within The Lodge in a 'superior' room which was bright & spacious - king sized bed, bunkbeds, a sofa plus a travel cot at our request. The king sized bed was two single beds on a large base however this wasn't an issue for us personally. Breakfast... More

Stayed for three wonderful nights in 'the couples retreat' beautful cabin a ten minute walk from the reception. Loved the large picture windows overlooking loch Fynne, the cosy underfloor heating, fabulous woodburner and the massive bath. The leisure centre was amazing and who would have thought swimming outdoors in Nov in Scotland would be such a pleasurable experience. All three... More

Gorgeous place to visit, spa facilities are amazing and staff are happy to go above and beyond for you! Could happily have spent hours in the outdoor pools (even in November in Scotland!) enjoying the views. As it was a special birthday we went out for dinner and at the end of our meal I was presented with a gorgeous... More

We spent a week here for a special birthday, had it been 2 or 3 nights I would have rated it 5 stars, but it is just too remote for a week, the last 12 miles or so of road to portavadie isn't great, with much of it single track with passing places, and having decided we didn't want to... More

I just spend a week here at Portavadie with two teenagers and a dog. The main purpose was visiting family in Tarbert on the other side of Loch Fyne. The facilities are excellent - especially the outdoor pool - and the restaurants offer good variety at reasonable prices. The only shortcoming was the wifi which was not available in the... More

Brilliant long weekend with 2 small children (ages 2 and 4). We stayed in a luxury 2 bedroom apartment and it was lovely, could not fault it at all. Everything is well planned out, the lodge restaurant v good and the leisure facilities top notch. We will be back!

Appartements are great, view is fantastic, sauna is the bathroom, spa is incredible with hot water outside pool and jacuzzi. The restaurant (breakfast and diner) is quite nice too. All good to enjoy this amazing piece of Scotland.
