For us, this is the fourth time we have come to Aun and Manuel. For others 5 or 6 times. What can we say other than that we are in the happiness farm on a hammock or under a small bamboo hut around the pond to take a nap.
For the last time the heat was there, we took advantage of the coolness of the pond.
After touring the world Manuel came to settle with Aun in his wife's Isan region to the great joy of his guests. They are constantly improving for our comfort, our well-being and our demand for activities.
Aun and Manu have managed to create a true haven of peace in the greenery.
Between edible forest and rice fields it is good to stay there, in a pretty modern bungalow with air conditioning, good shower, and hair dryer,
in the typically Thai wooden chalet on the edge of the pond or sleep in the rooms made of natural brick abodes and made by the previous woofers.
An excellent breakfast awaits us with unlimited coffee and tea, smoothies from the garden, eggs from the henhouse. In the evening while we share an aperitif, Aun gets into the kitchen to make us an excellent Thai meal composed of sticky rice and jasmine rice, masaman, curry, chicken cashenut, spring rolls or other very tasty dishes. Every other evening we are treated to a good dessert that Michèle, Manuel's mother, prepares for us like a flan, coconut ice cream...
Meals are a time of sharing and exchange between woofers.
The morning passes quickly in the vegetable garden with aun who teaches us about permaculture, the names of spices, Thai fruits and vegetables, making a gardening board and many other things.
Manu for his part invites us to put our feet in the mixture of clay, sand and rice husk to make beautiful bricks which will be used to build a bungalow, a common room or a barbecue.
If you are lucky enough to go there in summer you may have the opportunity to transplant rice in the pretty rice fields around the coffee bar.
For the world tours there is also a large comfortable tent installed under a cabin, as well as three washing machines included in the price and which are waiting for your beautiful dusty shorts.
Two bikes and scooter to travel the countryside.
We also called on Ampha to take us to the Saturday evening night market, to the lotus lake in Nongkhai and to Isan rhum to taste this precious nectar.
Everything to make this vacation unforgettable.
When we have tasted the farm we come back every year and sometimes even several times a year. Always an excellent address, Suwan Organic Farmstay.
Thank you for your warm welcome Aun, Manuel, Michèle for these three times this year....
See you soon...we hope so.

We spent 10 days at the Suwan Organic farmstay in woofing mode, although morning work is not obligatory, it is very interesting to learn permaculture with Aun and natural construction with Manuel, her husband. It is a very popular place for French speakers because Manu is Belgian and it is the best woofing farm in Thailand. The evening cuisine is prepared by the hostess with vegetables from the garden and what flavor! Afternoons and weekends are rest or activities of your choice. From the farm there is the possibility of visiting the surroundings or taking a gastronomic tour with a driver and guide.
You have the choice of accommodation between classic bungalow and naturally built bungalow with air conditioning or fan. The places are clean and it is possible to have your clothes washed. I advise you with your eyes closed for a few days here between rice fields and agroforestry and like us, you will want to come back for this warm atmosphere and the kindness of the hosts, but don't forget to book early because word of mouth and the quality mean that it is quickly sold out. complete.

Superb week with Manu and Aun, who are extremely kind. Aun is a great cook as well. We were able to try making clay bricks to the delight of the children, but also structures in bamboo, fishing, etc. It's a little paradise on earth. We will come back in a few years to taste the lychees.

We are a young couple from Belgium and we stayed at Suwan Organic Farmstay for about 6 nights. We were supposed to stay only 3 at first but the experience was so nice that we decided to stay longer.
Arriving at the Farmstay, the landscape is wonderful and the mood so quiet. Away from big cities, near to local life. The farm was born less than one year ago, but you can already see that the final project will be amazing. They are cultivating many fruits (papaya, lime, banana,...), vegetables (cucumber, tomato,...) and herbs (coriander, menthol,...). Everything in a organic way of course. Thanks to it, not only the landscape is breathtaking, but also the food. Don't hesitate to order some dishes, typical Isaan food, delicious. Prepared with all the love of Aun, the owner.
We had the chance to meet and even share many moments with both owners, Manu and Aun, a wonderful couple. Manu is Belgian and Aun is Thai and they really do their best for their guests to feel good. They both speak good English. Aun cooks and works a lot in the farm, she is a lovely woman who always smiles and always looks after you. Manu takes much care of the costumers, and he is a very good adviser. Feel free to ask him were to go in Udon Thani and what to do around (shopping, eating, chilling,...) He knows Thailand by heart! They are wonderful people.
If you love farmlife, just offer your help around the farm. We did it and it was a great experience. We learned how to plant and we shared unforgettable moments. Moreover, as it is the beginning for them, some more people to help (even just a few) is very precious.
The bungalows are new, very conformable and clean. Nothing bad to say. The one made in wood is just amazingly beautiful.
The only thing to know is that you must have a vehicle if you want to visit the city. As it is a farm, it is a bit far (30 km) from the center. But just renting a scooter is enough, and you can go to Laos in about 30 minutes.

In summary, we have absolutely nothing bad to say on this Farmstay. This family, with their two daughters, is lovely. They made us feel at home from the first hour. We will never forget.
