This was our second visit to Upcountry Bungalows and we enjoyed it just as much as before. Nuna and Tony provide great hospitality in a natural rural environment. They are fun and interesting hosts. Nuna cooked dinner for us both nights, and the food was excellent, as was the company. If you want to be off the beaten track, this is a great destination.
we spent just one night in the bungalow, but we had a great time with Nuna and Toni, who are not only friendly and generous hosts, but they have a sense of humour and we spent a relaxed and funny evening at their beautiful place. The bungalows are very unique, clean and comfortable, the garden is fantastic, the homemade food also tasty, so we had a perfect stay, this was one of the absolute highlights of our 2 months journey in South-East Asia.
Living in a city (Yangon), I was looking forward to an escape, and this place delivered! Comfortable, cleverly laid out bungalows (only four on the property adds to the ambiance), beautiful gardens, terrific walking in the immediate vicinity, with very accommodating hosts makes this an ideal getaway. Pu Chee Fah mountain, not too far off is another plus. An auspicious start to 2018, Happy New Year people!
Nuna was the most amazing host I have ever had. My friends and I truly enjoyed everything about our stay. The tour to Phu Chi Fa with multiple hiking locations, her fantastic home-cooked meals, and clean rooms made our experience there worth the best reviews possible.
My boyfriend and I had the best experience staying at Upcountry Bungalows! We only stayed one night, but found ourselves wishing we had the time to stay longer. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. The mattress was the best we experienced in SE Asia, which was a nice bonus. Additionally the gardens and views of the mountains were beautiful and relaxing. Better than the rooms are the owners, Nuna and Tony. They were both lovely to interact with and helped make our experience very special. When we arrived, Nuna took us to the local town market as well as a silk worm village. It was a great way to experience and learn about the local life. She later made us one of the best meals we experienced in Thailand. Also, she went above and beyond by setting up a Thai massage for us at our bungalow. The next morning we did Nuna's tour to sunrise at Phu Chi Fah. It was a stunning experience that we would suggest doing if you stay at Upcountry Bungalows. Overall one of the best places we stayed durning our travels through SE Asia. We will definitely stay again the next time we come to Thailand!!! …
