pro: great value for money, especially I would not have expected the room to be of such high quality (very clean, big TV, big fridge, good WiFi)

con: If you prefer to fall asleep before midnight, you may have problems due to loud music next to the pool, especially if your room is on one of the lower floors. The waitress who took our food orders did not understand any English - she had to ask a colleague about everything we said (and he also didn't understand everything; without one of us being Thai and thus a native speaker, we would have been lost). Food took quite a while to come. When it arrived for 3 of us, the restaurant (if you want to call it that way) was about to close, and my food (just french fries) arrived a lot later, after waiting for about one hour - when the restaurant was already officially closed!

Beautiful place, once you were inside the compound; but, boy, was it difficult to find.

Should you depend on 7-11 for supplies, be prepared to walk a kilometer, past parked buses, to the main road.

Would not recommend to tourists without means of local transport.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in Jan 2019, whilst visiting the nearby AIT campus. Location was good for AIT although taxi rides to the campus took at least 20 minutes (because of road routings). Room was very large, clean and well fitted out.

Breakfast was interesting, half of the buffet was outside and the other half inside. Fresh fruit, cereals, buffet meals all offered, but I found them all quite bland and tasteless.

Dinner however was much better - I sat at the outdoor dining area near the pool and had grilled seafood - yummo! Unfortunately the local mosquitos dined on purple_traveller that night - even with dozens (yes dozens) of citronella candles and coils burning around the dining area. Grilled squid and prawns were so tasty - I endured a second night of mozzies to dine there.

Staff and service was very good, albeit a little robotic.

Would consider staying here again, should I need to visit AIT again.

The property itself is very nice, I enjoyed the room and the service provided was beyond my expectation. What gave me an issue was for someone suffering a mental disorder the hotel has denied me from leaving the room for the first day and I had to call the ministry of public health to tell to hotel to give me permission to have my free space in the garden. The food would have a score of a 4/10 as since I was a pescatarian I was not able to eat a lot what is on the menu and if they don't have anything to replace my meal with, they would always make the same meal: Fish in Spinach. I have eaten the same fish in Spinach dish over 6 times in my 14 days here.

You also get 3 meals (which is understandable) but the portion is very and I cannot express this enough VERY small, I wasn't able to last 2 hours without feeling hungry again. The room-service menu is extremely expensive (120THB for a Mixed Vegetable Salad) and upon asking the staff why it is expensive the blame it on the 17% Vat and Service cost (so in theory 100THB for a Veg Salad). So please avoid the room service.

One other service they provide for ASQ staying guests is the 7-11 service but with a catch: your minimum purchase from the 7-11 is 100THB + the delivery service of 100THB + (This is the most messed up of all) the 17% VAT and Service! This would also be a service that I do not recommend

My friend and I just finished our 2 week quarantine stay at The Idle Residence asq and had a really good experience. Before arriving in Thailand we were nervous and quite dreading being stuck in a room for 14 days but we are so glad we chose this hotel.
Stayed in a deluxe room which is big and modern with a spacious balcony where we could put the small table and chairs to sit on and we had a nice pool view. We could also sunbathe in the morning. The bed is massive and there is a sofa and big tv and the room had controlable aircon. They provided us with a Netflix account and the wifi worked great the whole time.
The staff were so friendly and extremely attentive, they provided us with anything we needed immediately and also delivered 7-11 orders.
The food was great, a different menu choice every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There was also room service available with different Thai and western options.
We had a big refrigerator to keep our drinks cold, a microwave to reheat our meals and a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee on arrival.
They picked us up front the airport and put our bags in our room for us while we checked in smoothly. They also include a free transfer after your stay to anywhere within 70km.
The whole experience was very pleasant and couldn’t recommend it enough for a great and smooth asq stay.
:)

Booked a Test & Go package only to find a few weeks later that it was not required, & therefore arranged for a refund. The hotel, via their bank, stung me for charges/fees despite the fact that I'd paid by Bank Debit card. The hotel admin failed to acknowledge that it was NOT a credit card & was still to be treated as a credit card. Eventually, the hotel just stopped responding!!
Terrible service - rip off merchants!

This property was our last stop on a 17 day round trip through thailand.
Sadly from all the places we stayed this one is the worst, upon our arrival we checked in our room just to find out that our safe wasn't working so we called the reception and they assured us to send a staff member to check, after 30 minutes no one showed up so we had to call yet again the front and after another 10 minutes finally someone showed up to change the empty battery in the safe (sadly enough it wasn't checked before!)
The room it self was not very clean and most stuff in the bathroom was broken or close to break, obviously not much maintenance going on at this room.
But the most saddest part was not the room but the pool, since there are many other guest in this hotel and she to me not feeling confident wearing a bikini in public I went swimming in bathing shorts and a tight shirt(which in all previously hotels wasn't any problem!)
The first day no one bothered about it but the second day as my friends family came to visit us (what we asked if it is allowed at check in and which was told us as it being allowed) I was in a very rude way told that I'm not allowed to wear those clothes at the pool the day before no one complained but strangely the day my friends family came it was a problem.
The staff explanation that it's not allowed because the salt water is to expensive clearly was just an excuse since the pool is more chlorine than salt water!
I certainly not recommend this hotel and get can say I'm beyond disappointed with this residence and the way we did get treated!
Oh and if you want a second pillow, since the one they give you is really small and not very comfortable prepared to pay 200 thb extra per night!

Nice quiet hotel on the way to Navanakorn. Food is excellent and the staff are wonderful. The pool is a nice size but there was never anyone around it anyway which was great. Rooms are immaculate and features are modern. The chef is incredibly friendly and came discuss the menu on ocassion which was a nice touch also.

There was a white man present at the hotel though (possibly management or permanent resident) who always stared at me and my girlfriend which was a little discomforting.

Wouldn't refund my ASQ deposit even after my flight was cancelled (and no mention that the deposit was unrefundable when I initially booked). With the current covid travel situation, having an unrefundable deposit is truly inexcusable. What a dishonest bunch of thieves.

I ordered a room service (from the hotel restaurant Booster) meal for 110 baht. I paid with a 1000 note (the ONLY note I had) but got back change for 500. I immediately called after the room service attendant (Mr.Natthapol, who is also the "Assistant Manager" of the hotel restaurant, but he was long gone, so I called down to the front desk and told them what happened right away.

Mr. Kaewlamul, the hotel front desk manager, told me by phone he would return my money to me that night. I waited in the lobby for him, then I received another call and he said he was not coming and he was not going to return the money to me. As a seasoned traveler, it is rare that I am a victim of something like this. If you stay here, please be more vigilant than I was. I dropped my guard for but a moment, and this is what occurred.

PS-We chose this hotel because it has a kitchen. It turns out that we are not permitted to use it! Why stay in a "residence" aparthotel if you are not permitted to use the kitchen?
