Located opposite a green area in the village, we stayed for one night in September 2016. The room was clean, modern and reasonably spacious. Everything worked well although the wifi signal was a little on the weak side. Breakfast was a reasonable selection and the cooked food made to order. Free parking outside the rooms which are located at the... More

My husband and I stayed one night on our way to Northumberland. We stayed in room 3 which is a basic double room with a skylight no window. There is an opening window in the shower room (no bath). The room is clean with tea and coffee facilities, we ate in Restaurant in the evening which was good, see restaurant... More

We booked this B&B for an overnight stay. The rooms were ideally situated as we had arrived on motorbikes and we could park them right outside our room. (The car park is in front of the rooms) The rooms are set away from the pub/restaurant, so it was very quiet. We booked in for a meal prior to our arrival,... More

Overnight stay from Sunday evening to Monday morning,Bank Holiday weekend.Very pleasant evening in the pub and a great nights sleep in the modern room. All facilities to a very high standard with a super shower and loads of tea, coffee and biscuits. Followed on Monday morning by a terrific breakfast. Loved the set up of having a bread bin full of... 2nd review and once again they haven't disappointed me. The Sunday roast is such good value for money. Two courses for £10 or 3 courses for £13. You get a good serving of meat which I had the beef and as soon as your knife touches it, It's just falls apart. Perfect. You also get a good serving of veg,... More

The Village Inn was a very positive experience. The bedrooms are outside the main pub/function rooms and have the feel of an American motel. The bedroom was very well finished. Great shower, hot and powerful. Meals are very good - steak, my partner said was very well cooked and the garden salads were perfect. Service was very good - very... More

We attended The Village Inn on August 6th for our wedding reception meal. we had opted for a family meal instead of a party and it was fantastic. we had 32 guests including plenty of children and we could not have been accommodated better. we chose Chicken liver pate as our starter, roast beef and Yorkshire puddings for mains and... Our room was very clean and bright considering it only had a skylight window, restaurant was always busy so best to book evening meal in advance. Great choices of food and a special most nights, the waitresses and waiters were very polite and attentive, central for Thirsk and Northallerton. The Horse racing was on at Thirsk when we were there... More

There are some lovely B&Bs around our pleasant land and they are all special in their own way. Occasionally one comes along that blows all that away and raises the bar. The Village Inn is just one that did that on my recent stay. It started on our arrival as we drove into the large car park at the rear... More

Just stayed at the Village Inn, simple rooms , but clean and tidy. Has everything you need for overnight stay. Very good value at £45 per night including a tasty breakfast. The staff are all very helpful and polite as well which is a real bonus these days.
