We stayed for one night in the oak tree room. Spacious, clean, very large bed and with tea/coffee facilities with real milk. It overlooks the outside drinking area, but that wasn't a problem as the punters had all gone by 11.15pm. Breakfast was good, though would have liked to have seen a bit more variety (cold meats, cheese, rolls, croissants).... More

Very impressed with this hotel on our recent stay, the accommodation was especially good. They offer a good menu served by friendly helpful staff and located as it is in a very nice peaceful village setting it was ideal for a short break in North Yorkshire. Definitely one to remember and revisit.

Simply excellent pub with rooms in a most beautiful village. We stayed one night (for a concert in the village hall) , manager and staff were all super friendly and happy, the pub was busy with very nice food and a good choice of drink but the highlight was the room (Beech, all named after trees). A truly superb room... More

Food: soup was only luke warm & only smoked bacon for breakfast which I don't like but has never been a problem before. Room: bedspread had loads of holes in it where the tassels had come out. There was dust on the chair & when the smoke alarm went off no one came to tell us what to do. When... More

Ryan was basically the best host ever. Our room was beautiful, big comfy bed, lovely chandelier made from wine glasses and a brand new well designed bathroom with heated floor. Felt like luxury. Ryan helped us through our hangover after a big wedding with prompt coffee. Really great place.

We had been travelling Europe and UK for 8 weeks and arrived at The Oak Tree Inn late afternoon. Our travel agent had made this booking for us. We had just finished a long drive and our first reaction was the friendliness of the staff. Our room was large but cosy and the little touches like brewed coffee, water, chocolate... More

We arrived late due to divertions but still managed to fit us in for evening meal, chose to eat in bar area although restaurant looked stunning. Food was amazing potions perfectly sized to allow for a full 3 course. Bedrooms had everything... More

First time visit. Was looking for somewhere out of town and peaceful. This place was spot on, clean, friendly, excellent service, good food and an excellent room.. Comfortable bed, Jacuzzi bath, T-bone steaks were great.

Had a lovely meal in a very busy restaurant. Well run by a friendly team of staff. Good atmosphere. The room was small but extremely comfortable. Excellent full English breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
