Bad costumer service. Had to wait over an hour for our meals when there were only 2 other tables. Ran out of food so we to change out food a few times. The staff just weren’t pleasant. Wouldn’t recommend.

Hello Sidonie A. Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your visit to us at the Waterloo Cross. Our staff here work very well as a team to ensure all customers feel welcomed and leave happy. We pride ourselves on offering a very high level of customer service so I am saddened to read that this is not what you received. It is never our intention for customers to feel aggrieved. Could you perhaps let us know when you visited? We would never have an unnecessary wait on food. Especially if the restaurant is quiet. Kindest regards.

Arrived without a booking on a Saturday night and even though there were a lot of reserved tables they were able to accommodate us as we were early. I had scampi and a full salad and my husband had steak and salad. We shared a large portion of sweet potato fries. My meal was very good the scampi cooked just how I like it not too crispy. My husbands steak was ok but a little tough. However it would not put us off a return visit but next time would upgrade to a ribeye. The service was ok and the price very reasonable. Would recommend.

Visited on Saturday evening 8th June as post birthday meal, We forgot to book a table and found the pub busy, despite this Heivika the manager found us a table, and as usual the food was excellent as was the service. We now visit frequently and since Heivika and her team took over the management last year we feel that she has turned this pub around, prior to her taking over it was a very dull unfriendly and unwelcoming atmosphere with very poor customer service, and not very nice food. Heivika and the team of staff she has in place now are a really good bunch of people and cannot do enough for you, we also note that the cleanliness of the Pub has improved significantly therefore we would recomend this place as a great place to visit. hi Colin and Sandra, We are so glad that you see the hard work we have put into turning this pub around. Locals and regulars as you are ,have seen us struggle through the tough times and celebrate the good times. We as a team are very grateful of having guests like you and who do not mind the wait times that occur at peak times. We hope you liked our little song for your celebration even though it was off key, but these are the little things we do for every guest not only the regulars. Thank you so much for your 5 * review here and I will make sure all the staff will know about it. See you on Saturday if not before.

Nice welcome. We arrived early and waited a while for our room, which when we got it was really nice and spacious. Lovely staff. A special thanks to the breakfast staff. Would be nice to have a small area in the pub with comfy chairs to sit with just a drink.

hi, we are very glad you have enjoyed your stay with us and I have forwarded your comment to my breakfast staff. I would love to have an area to fit in comfy seating but unfortunately the restaurant is not big enough to do so. I do have couple of bar tables to have a drink in though. Hope to see you soon.
