I still feel guilty that we left so much food uneaten because it was all delicious. Go for that alone. Plus, the room was comfortable and the view of the pond tranquil and pleasant. The hosts gave us the requisite Louise Penny map and made suggestions of where to go in town. Very welcoming! We'll stay there again if we head to the Eastern Townships.

Ancestral Knowlton B&B is a gem in a beautiful village. The rooms are totally authentic, yet completely modernized and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable; the shower was perfect. All rooms look out on a pond and grassy area. The breakfasts are outstanding, not surprising given that Peter was a chef in his native Switzerland. Yvonne is a charming and attentive host. The home itself is historic and very comfortable. Knowlton is a charming village, now known as the home of Louise Penny, the Canadian writer of the Gamache series. It is the perfect base for exploring the Eastern Townships, and Ancestral Knowlton is the perfect place to stay.

Charming B&B with great hosts, Yvonne & Peter, very attentive to our needs. Beautiful house, clean & so charming. A little pond in the back where you can sit by, read, have a glass of wine. Exquisite breakfast, great location & would return again.

After my hosts Yvonne and Peter warmly greeted me on arrival, they showed me to my comfortable "Romantique" room, which has a private entrance overlooking a pretty pond and willow trees. I slept like a log in the comfy bed in this quiet room. Peter cooked me a delicious omelette the next day, served with home baked bread, croissants, ham, cheese, jams, yogurt, fruit, and very good coffee. I had arrived by bike. Peter and Yvonne were helpful in showing me how to reach some of the local sights on my way out of town, giving me maps and directions. Thanks to Peter's advice, I cycled the best route to my next destination, Sutton. I would stay here again if I come back to Knowlton (Lac Brome).

We arrived at 21:30, but this is too late for peter, the owner. So he screamed at us and told me that he will shoot me. This is a very strange welcome. I repeat: it was 21:30... not 23:30, only 21:30... We decided to leave the place

Dear Mr. Leblanc When you reserved the room on the phone I told you about our check in time as well I sent you a confirmation e-mail with the policy and check in time. You and your girl friend arrived after 9:30 pm and there was no need to knock on the door very aggressive and yelling at us. We have lots of polite guests they let us know when they arrive, and there is no problem.
