We stayed at the Ubud Raya Hotel for 4 nights in December 2019, it was excellent. We were delayed getting to the hotel and didn't arrive until gone 2am, the check in was easy and they still made sure we were happy and bought us arrival drinks. The staff were all kind and polite 24/7. The suite was super clean, spacious and comfortable. The beds are huge and so comfy! We were right by the pool which was lovely so the kids were made up. The pool is tranquil and stunning. We were the only guests for 2 of the days and I think that made our stay even more enjoyable. The menu could be slightly better, breakfast is fine but the other meals were a bit boring. Not quite the enticing food we were expecting but location wise the local community is a stones throw away so eating out was preferred for us. We would definitley stay here again! Couldn't recommend it enough.

+ 1. The presence of a clean and large pool and a normal breakfast (but usually only 2-3 types of juice) for menu. 2. Polite staff. - this polite staff does not care about guests at all. the hotel promises a shuttle to the center of Ubud and back in time, and asks to write in 30 minutes about the need for a transfer. Today we ordered a transfer at 8:30, we were waiting at the pick up point, but there was no car. 6 people were waiting with us. the driver was late for 30 minutes and said that he didn’t picked us up! he was told that it was necessary to pick up 4 people! the transfer works for 2 hotels (also at the Ubud raya resort), and he took 4 people to the Resort and with them 2 more who also needed to go there. Until I made him call the reception and find out how to go to us, he was not going to do anything, he just smiled. he was told that they would send a car for us, how long it was to wait was unknown. We were very tired, wanted to use the toilet, tired of sitting on a noisy and dusty street, and went to a nearby cafe where there is Wifi to write to the hotel. they only apologized and said that they would send another driver, and that the driver had made a mistake! how could the driver make a mistake if there were 8 of us together! this at the reception should have sent 2 cars at once. for another 30 minutes we waited for a driver who could not yet find us in Starbacks. Cleaning: they brought a full set of towels to the room only once and were very surprised that we needed hand towels. 2 times the towels were stained dirty. Do not wash glasses, forget to put water, do not wipe off the dust. Room: it is large, there is air conditioning, comfortable beds, there is a mirror. BUT: there are no outlets. There is a kettle and a refrigerator, but to turn on the kettle it must be put on the floor under the table. by the bed there is 1 socket far behind the bed for the lamp. another 1 socket far from the bed under the table. I had to constantly crawl under tables and a bed to charge a phone, laptop, book in turn. The light also turns on behind the cabinet. the hotel is not bad, but everything is somehow unfinished and uncomfortable for life.

The garden / poolside is quite nice for a budget hotel. The room is spacious. The bed and pillows are not comfy at all. Cleanliness of the bathroom also just average. The strange thing is how the hotel installs the bathroom mirror, shower, and TV. Way up high there. The shower position is also strange, causes the floor all wet, although they put 2 shower curtains.

I stayed in Raya Hotel two nights for my birthday. And it is unforgettable staff. They could bring everything for you and make you feel happy anytime The location: 6/10 It is in a small street, not many houses surrounded, it is close to a local night market- Sanyan Night Market and a Warung restaurant behind the hotel, very good spicy and salty, suitable for Asian, I give a suggestion, if you would like to stay here, do not forget to bring noodles 🍝, it is so helpful for you in an empty place. Staff: one word - PERFECT! They are super nice, they prepared for me a birthday cake, I surprised about that, what you made for us, me and my twin brother. I really to respect you guys: Sancita dewi-Muly-Puspita dewi-Devi-Kadek po-Ngurah They did great job, unforgettable memories. Thanks a lot dudes
