We got the river view villa. The view is really refreshing especially if you come from a busy city. If you dont have the river view from the room, you could head out to the swimming pool and enjoy the same view. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull, 👍 But i dont really like the room service food. But overall this is a very recommended hotel in Ubud!

We were staying here because the resort is near Ayung River and we had always craving to stay near that river, so we decided to pick this resort. We loved every single bits of this resort from the architecture, the service, the food, the view, everything. The staffs were so nice and helpful. We were staying at their river front villa, and we love the fact we could hear the sound of the river and knowing the whole villa was so clean. During this pandemic, cleanliness really is the most important part and we love how everything in the resort looked properly cleaned. Their staff's attentiveness and their efficient check in processes also one of the highlights from this resort. We also love their food selections, kinda surprised they actually offer japanese set for breakfast. So we tried the set and fell in love with the gindara, the bread selections were so good too. Overall, we love this property so much and can't wait to be back and after the whole pandemic is over, we really wish we could bring our kids too. Cuz i'm pretty sure mine would really love this place. Kudos to the resort and the whole staffs for always maintaining their professionalism and good service!

Stayed in one of the villa with a private pool. Felt like in heaven! Awesome design. Very recommended. But, get some musquitoes repellent, or do not forget to get the musquito coil lit at the veranda starting late arvo and during the night Food: had dinner at the restaurant. Very nice. The mashed potatoe could be made richer and cremier, tho'. Bfast: tasty and nice garnish. Photo spots: a lot! Perfect for selfie👍 Staff: helpfull, and friendly.

I was looking for hotels in Ubud and was stuck between Sayan, Mandapa and Amandari. Mandapa was closed, so it was either Sayan or Amandari. I picked Sayan immediately, although Aman is an elite hotel group it cannot compare to FS in my opinion. Anywhere I travel - Four Seasons is my goto hotel - Jakarta, Shanghai, Shenzhen, etc. This resort was amazing, the property is fantastic - it was just breathtaking. Whoever designed it is an architechtual genius, they were able to combine a modern, yet rustic buliding and blend it in with the natural greenery surrounding the hotel. At first we stayed at the RIverfront Villa - a beautiful view - then I opted for an upgrade to the Sayan Villa (higher up on the resort and with a bigger balcony - about triple the size with a bigger pool). The riverfront Villa feels more homey and romantic but the Sayan Villa feels more .. open. The view was amazing, waking up at 6am to see the sunrise. I am not a romantic person myself but I couldn't help but enjoy this. But the highlight of the trip was not the property, rather the hospitality and breakfast. Let me start off with the hospitality. Every single person addressed me by my last name and was very respectful. They did everything and more to make myself and my girlfriend feel comfortable. I would like to give a special shoutout to Mr. Wira and Ms. Jenny - they are amazing people and helped us so much. Mr. Wira catered to our every need and gave us an upgrade; and more. Ms Jenny did the same while also helping me with a personal matter - which she didn't have to at all. Then there was Diah at breakfast, she was very hospitable and helpful. She become very good friends with my girlfriend and even provided her with coconut oil for her mosquito bites. I could name everyone but I think you get the gist.. The hospitality is amazing. I won't elaborate anymore on this or the breakfast - but in a short sentence.. The breakfast is a la carte and everything is huge, and cooked to perfection. I recommend you try EVERYTHING on the menu - there are no bad or even medicore choices. Thank you FS Sayan for making my girlfriend's and I stay perfect. We will be back.

Dear chinom320, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. First of all I do definitely agree with you that John Heah, the Architect, did in deed an amazing job to create what you so well have described. But ultimately it is really the employees that make a place special, and I am happy to know that the team did not disappoint you, especially Wira, Jeni and Diah. This three are in deed amazing individuals that are irreplaceable, and I will be so happy to share your kind words with them. I am also delighted to learn that you like the way we are offering breakfast to our guests, and our Chef will be thrilled to know that his food enhanced your time in Sayan. In short, we are super happy that you left with such good memories and hope, that when travel brings you back our ways, that we shall be your host once again. Sincerely, Gianni

I had been eyeing the FS Sayan even before I came to Bali. My boyfriend and i was looking for the best place to stay in Ubud and in the end our choice still ended up with FS Sayan. We booked for 2 nights first (they upgraded our room to the river front villa) and ended up staying there for 6 nights (we stayed in Sayan villa for 4 nights). We really had a pleasant stay during our Ubud trip! I really love their food! Both in dining villa and the food at Ayung terrace. The breakfast tho. I love it the most. My favorite dish was their chicken wok! It wasn’t written on the menu. One of the waiter said it was their special on that day. Since then, i always ordered chicken wok for days straight😂 Their Balinese coffee and cappuccino also were my favorite. The spa at FS Sayan was also so good. I almost fell asleep when i was getting one. Usually i just close my eyes during a massage but at FS Sayan, i fell so sleepy and really enjoyed it. I got bitten all over my both arms. It wasn’t normal at all i don’t know what particular bugs had bitten me but it seriously wasn’t normal. One of the hotel staff at Ayung terrace gave me a whole bottle of organic coconut oil to reduce the redness and the itchiness. It was a small thing but seriously touched me a lot because they concerned about my health. FS’s hospitality always surprises me. Thank you FS Sayan for making our trip in Bali memorable🥰

Dear Irs1717, I hope by now the bites on your arms are better.....typically it is caused by a small flying insect locally named 'nit nit'. Tiny little beasts that are almost impossible to see and to get write off. Besides this we are obviously delighted to learn that you had such a great time with us and hope that you will visit us again. Warmest regards, Gianni
