We have visited Ubud at least a dozen times since the 90s. This was our first post pandemic trip to celebrate my birthday, and I chose The Samaya because I was looking for a villa out of town but with transport to town whenever we wanted. We had a wonderful 6 days there - breakfasts at Swept Away restaurant were a wonderful way to start the day, right next to the Ayung River. We went on a 1.5 hour stroll around the nearby padi fields and another bike ride on another afternoon. The photo session was a nice touch as was the massage session and free dinner. The spa was beautiful and we would have booked more treatment if it were open- hopefully it will be on our next trip! It was really nice to be sent and picked up any place in Ubud town - all we had to do was WhatsApp the reception to tell them where to pick us up from. Oh, and the hotel game me a cake on the day of my birthday which was quite special too!…
Where do I start? The best hospitality we have received from a hotel. It was a joy to stay at the Samaya and the staff are without a doubt the nicest people we have met who will go above and beyond to make your stay extremely comfortable. As we travelled with our 9 month old baby, we were a bit anxious at how the hotel would cater for us. They provided a cot within the room with a mosquito net and a highchair when dining at their beautiful riverside restaurant as well as a childs plate set. A few good points to mention about this hotel, the rooms are huge and come with their own private pool and garden in a sort of compound type layout with high walls and an outer door to give full privacy which we liked. Furthermore, we utilised the hotels free on demand shuttle service to Ubud centre which we took twice a day which stopped us stressing about ordering and paying for taxis. We were also celebrating my wife's birthday and on arrival to our room was met with a birthday cake which was such a nice personal touch. They also did this again at the complimentary 2 course dinner they offered us. Aside from the breathtaking rooms and stunning scenery, the staff are the biggest asset to this hotel. All staff are very kind and thoughtful however we would like a special mention to both Ariyani and Putu who were inseparable with our baby. Being such a long way from home made their hospitality that much more appreciated. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Bali for their first time or 100th time. Thanks so much for looking after us and we hope to see you again. S, J & R…
I’m writing this having not left yet that’s how impressed I am with it. The staff are amazing, so helpful and will literally do anything to help you and are so knowledgeable about the area. The free shuttle service into the town is so very useful. The morning hike is a fun experience. Setiawan became like a friend to us. If you are looking to be treated like royalty this is your place
My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon. The samaya, Ubud is definitely a must if you are travelling to Bali for pretty much any kind if trip. The food was 5 stars, the staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming. The private villa was beautiful. Its a first for us, as we usually do the all inclusive with a hotel room, but after seeing how amazing the private villa was, we won't look back! We can honestly say we will be back and a massive thank you to all of the staff who worked hard to make our honeymoon stay a special one. Even down to the flower petals in the Bath.
I stayed with my wife for honeymoon 5D/4N at samaya ubud. Every staff we met is full initiatove to give their best service. Everyone great us...asking if there is something can be improve more regarding the service. One of their best service is when I finished cycling using my own roadbike they offered me to wash my bikes. I never experience this kind of service at the other place. We are happy to spend times at The Samaya Ubud. Amazing and relaxing experiences. Special thanks for Pak Putu (the hotel manager) for treat us with excellent service.
First.. I never know this brand, then a friend recommend me to try this hotel which end up that it is a villa.. 1 Bedroom aAyung Villa is where i stayed for a night. Same as other villa, of course the size is huge and the pool size also quite big. There is a gazebo also for private dinner and another gazebo overlooking Ayung Villa. So I can enjoy my me time reading in a cozy nest with the sound of the river. I found this hotel provide the most complete amenities in the villa. Not only the standard amenities like soap, tooth brush, etc but I can find bath salt, bubble bath, facial cotton sheet and sewing kit. But, the most special one is where I had my breakfast. Next to the Ayung River. The breakfast is nice, with special green juice and yummy omelete, it was perfect. After breakfast, I joined their regular activity, tracking, we went to paddy field and the guide explain everything. Will surely recommend this hotel …

I had a chance to visit The Samaya Ubud w/ all my family and we were staying at one of their family villa, Our holiday at Samaya Ubud was great… Thank you for the very very amazing services!❤️🌹 Thank to Pak Putu Mahendra as GM at Samaya Ubud. It was such a wonderful experience!😍 hope coming back very soon🤩
We have great offer from this hotel while we visiting Ubud. We stay for 2 nights here. Friendly staff but food is standard. Having in villa dining because at that moment is rainy. Pool is to deep for us, so we cant use it. Cleanlines need to be improve, specially around fish pond that in front of our villa. Enjoying breakfast aside of Ayung river is great, but the food is too standard. One thing that we love is, the view from lobby, really great.
I went to Samaya Ubud to rest my exhausted mind and I got more than I expected. Thank you for all the staffs that has taken care of us during our two nights stay there, everyone were very polite and gave top notch services. We have several plans to go here and there during our stay but we cancelled those plans because the villa was too comfortable that we refused to go anywhere. Hahaha. We especially loves our breakfast :D Next time when I visited Bali again, I hope I can stay for few more days here. Two nights are definitely not enough for us. Please be healthy always and keep up the good service and attitude.
