We will be making our 3rd trip to Stanley's in 3 years. We switched because the resort we were staying at was getting rundown and the service was getting bad. Coming to Canada fishing for a week is not cheap so we wanted a nice resort, nice location, and modern amenities. Stanley's has all that and they treat you very well. We will keep coming back! The houses/cabins are very nice and modern and clean and the fishing is awesome!

We have been going to Stanley's for about 14 years now, and to Eagle Lake for about 45 years. This is by far the best resort in this area of the lake, and they treat their guests like family. The equipment is great, and the staff is always at the ready to help when needed. The cabins are luxurious in comparison to the others we've stayed in, and have more amenities than my own home! We've gone with immediate as well as extended family, and some either couples or men's trips. The peace and solitude is wonderful, but there are both small towns and larger cities nearby for a daily trip. I highly recommend Stanley's!

I've been going to Eagle Lake since i was young. We used to go to another camp, and while it has memories, Stanleys is comfortable, accommodating, relaxing, wonderful! Rob with family&staff take great care of things& make you feel very welcome. Fishing is pretty good, and scenery is like no other! There are kids activities like a beach, paddle boat, water slide on site, but this is a great place to turn off your electronics& just enjoy some family time.

Perfect outdoor getaway for the whole family! The cabin accommodations are clean and comfortable, with rustic decor and a full kitchen. A full service dock staff equips you with fishing boats, live bait, 50 hp and trolling motors and depth/ fish finder. Guided fishing trips are available, with access to secluded portage lakes. We did this with the kids, followed by a shore lunch to enjoy their morning catch. It was a hit! Staff will clean (filet) your catch for an evening meal, or freeze it for the trip home. They also host a community fish fry midweek. It's a 3rd generation family business, run with much pride and genuine service. They are supported by a mature staff which seeks to build relationships with guests. We stayed in the new Clearwater 5 bedroom modern amenity cabin. Each bedroom has 2 double beds with a private bath. Plenty of space for several families to share. The natural beauty and fishing amenities of Western Ontario are truly world-class and keep us coming back!!

My husband and I recently spent a weeks vacation at Stanley's Resort. The fishing was great and having free wifi and Directv was a touch of home. Would highly recommend this resort for your next vacation.

Stanley's Resort stands in a category all by itself as no other fishing lodge compares to the quality of service, the impeccable cleanliness of their modern deluxe cabins & grounds, one outstanding & accommodating owner, Rob, dock personnel who cater to your every need, and the latest models of fishing boats, motors & equipment. Eagle Lake provides some of the best fishing in Ontario no matter what your preference. You absolutely cannot go wrong booking Stanley’s if you LOVE to fish – just go to the dock, jump in your fully prepared and equipped boat (bait, gas, etc.), and say good-bye to your launch crew. Upon your return, the only thing you need to remove from the boat is YOU! Docking crew has everything else under control! Our family first booked with Rob in 2006 and have continued to love our stay at Stanley’s every year after! This is not a fishing trip; it’s the ultimate fishing vacation!

I had been to a few other Canadian resorts and in the Spring of 1998 I booked a cabin for a week at Stanley's. An extremely well run Resort on the best part of Eagle Lake (the Deep Clear West Arm). Being the last Resort to the West you have the best, and first access to the remainder of the West arm wing and each of its portage lakes. All of wich would take 10 lifetimes to ever truly experience. Stanley's Boats are immaculate, it's Service is outstanding, and after 11 visits I have yet to find any areas of needed improvement. The fishing is great for both numbers and size. Thanks in large part to the great guides, friends and I have gotten into large numbers of fish, and more importantly-in my opinion-large fish of every species. I couldn't imagine not having all of the great memories that each visit to Stanley's has afforded me. If Circumstances hadn't made it impossible for me to spend at least a week at Stanley's for the past 3 years I would returning for my 15th straight year in 2013. Wether your looking to visit your first Canadian resort this year or you're a seasoned veteran , you can't miss with Stanley's.

We have gone to several nice places to fish and relax. Stanley's has it all!!! It offers easy to get to spots on the lake (where you'll see very few boats), as well as portage lakes that add a little adventure (where you'll see little or more often no boats) Multi species to catch, last year we were able to catch whitefish, lake trout, northern, and walleye in the same day. As far as staff and accomidations..Awesome!!...clean cabins and boats that have never failed us. Can't thank you enough for all the hospitality!!!

August 2010 was our third trip to Stanley's. We will be going again in a few weeks. The fishing is always amazing, but so are the people. From the owners, to the guides to the guys at the dock, it appears that every thought and need has been anticipated! The fish fry on Tuesdays is something to look forward to, and every experience we had with a guide was different but amazing! The lake is beautiful, and easy to navigate. We have fished in many other places, but we will continue to return to Stanley's year after year and are eagerly anticipating our trip in a few weeks!
