This is a solid full service lodge. Some of the best guides you will find. When you pull your boat in, deckhands run to your slip to assist. I saw people on this review, one guy in particular complaining that there was no bite, or no TVs, or a pool....These are not real fishermen. Not the type that should go to AML. He complained that he could go rooster fishing for the money lol. People who go to AML are serious anglers, most often targeting muskies or walleye and this lake is one of the best on the planet for each. If you have energy at the end of the day to want to swim or watch TV, then youre doing it wrong. Cherish every moment on a lake like Eagle. Fish from dawn til dusk. This is what a lodge and lake like this is for. And for someone to complain about not catching muskies....lol..fish for bass and leave the muskies for the big boys. Its a notoriously hard fish to catch.

Our stay was not intended as a vacation but needed up feeling that way. We were evacuated from our home in our small community at 10:00 at night because of a forest fire. Andy Myers Lodge took us in and made us feel welcome and at home. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and not feel like we were a burden to them. My husband was not with me at the time , it was just myself and my 2 cats (which I might add was not a problem for them to stay in the cabin with me ❤️) my husband was a little disappointed that he wasn’t there to enjoy their beautiful lodge. I highly recommend their little piece of Heaven to anyone that wants to get away and have a beautiful vacation. Julian , Nicky and their family are a godsend. Love you guys.

Karen, Tika and Gracie.

Just got back from a week long stay at AML. This was my 5th time there and they continue to make it my favorite travel destination. The musky fishing is amazing. Great body of water for action and trophy musky. The guides are very knowledgeable and will work hard to keep you on fish. The vast majority of them have grown up on Eagle Lake and have an endless amount of spots and advice to share with you. Dock service is second to none. They are ready to accommodate your every need at any time of the day or night. Another perk of the lodge are the people you meet there. The owners, Julian & Nicky, treat you like family and always make sure to accommodate your every need. The camp is a tight nit bunch and I continue to meet great people every time I visit. It has only been a few days since I left and I can't wait to make it back next year.

Worst fishing trip we have ever taken. We did not get the cabin I requested. 4 large adults were crammed in a cabin where bedrooms where barely big enough fot 2 twin beds. Also cracks in walls where mosquitos where coming in at night. Boats ran poorly and we were charged for damaging one of the motors , which we did not damage. Fishing was poor but that's fishing sometimes. We had a meal provided at lodge one evening of Chinese catfish. You would think being in Canada it might be walleye. Lol.

After planning this trip for years I was very disappointed. The cabins are crappy (small, old, unclean). The food was average at best and poor on most occasions. The guide we had used the "F" word hundreds of times despite my asking him not to with my son in the boat. At check out there were all kinds of hidden fees and they tried to charge me for boat damage that was there in the first place. Less than honorable people. Nothing to do at night. Very disappointed.

Always wanted to take a Canadian Fishing Trip with my Father. Unfortunately he got to old to fast. My Son and I just returned from Andy Meyer's Lodge. The entire staff helped my son and I to make some memories together that we will never forget. Julian and his staff are all top notch. Guides, Dock Workers, Kitchen Staff, Cleaning Staff Just remarkable. Everyone went out of the way to make sure that our experience would be remembered for a life time. Book with Andy Meyer's Lodge. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

Had an amazing time. It’s a massive lake as a novice fisherman I elected guid service everyday. In the week I caught a Musky (38 inch), countless walleye (they fried for a “pre-dinner snack”, countless small mouth (15-18 inch on a remote lake), couple pike (30-36) and a few lake trout.

The best part was the service. I got a flat tire and he had it fixed for me. The guides are friendly and know the lake well. Food is good and the cabins are spotless.

Didn’t get the cabin we asked for. Cabin had holes where mosquito s were coming in. Complimentary dinner was some Chinese fish. Tried to charge us for boat damage . Would never go here again. Been to other lodges and have never had an experience like this.

Once again another FANTASTIC trip to AML. Boated my personal best this year, could not be more excited. Wanted to say thank you to Julian, and his wife Nicki for the great experience. Also want to say what an amazing job the staff does, from Wendy (the amazing cook) and the rest of the kitchen staff, to the fishing guides. They are some of the friendliest people that you will ever meet. I love how everyone meets at the end of the day to talk about how their day went and compare fishing stories. Can not wait to get back up there next year, already booked our next trip.

Fishing is spectacular as a result of a concerted effort on Eagle Lake to practice conservation designed to maximize numbers and size. Eagle is consistently ranked as one of the top musky lakes in the world, and has twice held the world record. The new world record is swimming g around somewhere in there. Walleyes to 34/35 inches a possibility, smallies avg 20 inches and 22 and up is not that uncommon. For anyone who knows anything about freshwater fishing, this is one of the best. Anyone who portrays this water in a negative light just doesnt know what they're talking about, plain and simple.
