we were only staying one night, but were very happy with our stay. We got stuck in traffic, and weren't sure we would make check in time. But when I phoned the hotel, they were very helpful and it was no problem checking in later. The rooms were lovely, very clean and comfortable, and the staff were fantastic. Shame we... More

My Mum and I popped in here for a quick bite of lunch and we weren't disappointed. They had a good variety to choose from and although we chose a simple sandwich, the presentation was lovely and it tastes good! The surroundings were very relaxed but not shabby! Spotlessly clean, modern but cosy and comfortable at the same time. Many... More

Excellent accommodation, food and service in a family run business that gives your stay the personal touch. Always a relaxed atmosphere and a joy to go back to. Quirky old building. Good access to the borders and central Scotland with plenty of attractions for all the family.

Perfectly reasonable room for the money. Not large but with a spectacular view of a golden hill (covered in gorse and broom in July). Was a bit noisy as they had the football on in the bar but the landlord told us about a great little restaurant just down the road and it was quiet when we returned.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations in all respects. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable, and have everything you need, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The meals in the restaurant, including the breakfast, were superb.

I stayed here on my second day of a JOGLE cycle trip. I had a really warm welcome, looking after me and my bike. The room was nice, on suite bathroom,wi-Fi signal strong. Great food, lots of choice for breakfast. This hotel really helped me relax.

Stayed with family as part of a family wedding. We were allowed to check in at 12.00 (although the hotel was full on the previous evening) A godsend since the wedding was at 1pm and we didn`t arrive back until 11. Check-in was quick and friendly. Our room (8) was quite small but very clean, great shower and very well... More

Incredible value for money. Location was ok. I was working in south Glasgow. My rooms was lovely and had everything you need and more. Including things that other chain hotels lack. Eg iron and board, tea coffee, wifi in room, lots of plugs and by bed.
