The room we booked was clean. The amenities are not that great, but they are ok. You have 2-3 stars comfort.
The hotel can be quite crowded, therefore there will be a very good chance to become noisy.
The parking can be hustling in the high season (june-august). The hotel has a small parking lot comparing to the accommodation capacity, so you can hardly find a place for parking.
The price can be high comparing to the services.
Pros and cons:
- nice and new furnished room. We choose a "superior" room for a few add. euros and it worth;
- there is a small but very usefull fridge in the room;
- very good hotel location: on the sea beach, 15 mins to the main Jupiter beach and other attractions;
- wonderful sea and costal view;
- safery paid hotel parking (1.5 euro / day). As there are not many available parking lots we enjoyed it;
- on the same hotels complex it's a small and cosy beach bar (Meteor). Although not too cheep and common food, we've enjoyed it for some relaxing lunch and breakfasts;
- friendly staff;
- the beach close to hotel isn't quite nice. So you have to walk 15 mins to a nicer beach;
-Jupiter it's a families venue so night live is low. We've enjoyed on this the Neptun attractions (2 Km faraway but with poor public transportation or better with taxi / 3 Euro one way); touristic carriage with horse made me nervous being expensive and no friendly drivers;
- the closest cashmasines seems to be in Neptun;
- it's an old renovated hotel so there are not big room or bath (2+1 is still confortable there);
- undestanding this is a 2* hotel, in 5 days no blankets or towels replacement;
Most probably we'll return for hotel location and money offers.
Generally everything is ok.
Staff nice, polite, proactive.
Rooms clean, nice furniture. Very good bed.
Cleaning service excellent and flexible.
Very good location, on the beach.
The beach itself is clean, suited with families with children.
TV and AC was ok.
Wifi connection was not stable.
Price/value rate rocks!
Not directly related to the hotel, but there were nice places to eat and drink as well (not on the beach).
We have spent a nice little vacation. We will probably return to this spot. We loved it.
This was our first positive experience on the Romanian sea shore.

The personnel is very nice and each time we had a request or a desire the people were opened and made eforts to fulfill our requests (thank you very much Mrs. Lili and Mrs. Mihaela from Reception).
About eating at hotel unfortunatelly I can't say much as we prefer to eat at noon at the beach and in the evening arround. But I know the hotel has a partnership with differet food locations arround and that at the ground floor exits also a restaurant and a terase.
About location the hotel is situated in the heart of Jupiter. You can access easily the restaurants in Jupiter or make a walk to Neptun or Venus sea locations. Related to the acess to the beach the hotel doesn't own a private beach but in front of the hotel there are 2 small golfs and you can stay there on the beach and swim. If you prefer to have a larger view to the sea a bigger beach is 5 minutes walk on the beach or alee towards Neptun.
In a few words Hotel Cometa is the best choise for a holiday in Jupiter.

The air condition costs extra!
The wifi doesn't work reliably anywhere at anytime. In a country that has the 5th fastest internet, you'd have thought they could do better.
It, and most other hotels in this area, are similarly dated, if not all owned by the same slumlords.
No breakfast. Expensive and crowded.
In short - lipstick on a pig.

"Take the double superior room. It looks to the sea, but on the north side, so it does not heat up during the day, so AC is not needed."Read full review
