Old inn, immaculately clean, good breakfast. Helpful host. Room 2 is up steep stairs with an enormous, if old, bathroom. Largest tv ever seen in a bandb! We can recommend the Lebanese restaurant in nearby Abingdon. They have rooms in a separate building as well. Good value for money. Ideal for a few nights stay in the area.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Southampton. The room with its 4 poster bed was very clean with all the usual amenities, the thing that impressed us most was the wonderfully soft & crisp bed linen. There are no evening meal facility, but plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast, which is also highly recommended is served in... More

The picture and reviews show a nice Pub. The Pub has closed, the bedroom room was large clean and nice, the breakfast was very nice, The pub itself has stopped serving meals and no one is drinking in it The place is now just b & b rooms. If you want supper, go and get it yourself. It is bit... More

Great Host, top quality bedding. Breakfast excellent, what more could you want. Mai was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully cared for old building retaining all its charm and character. Huge TV in the bedroom made it difficult to leave the footie

Lovely thatched cottage with friendly staff. We stayed in fantastic large individual accommodation with a four poster bed. Good breakfast. Only drawback - they did not serve dinner. However, there was a ten minute walk to a Chef and Brewer restaurant or a short drive to the nearest town.

Stayed overnight during late August of this year. The room was large, well-resourced, with a large separate bathroom. A good night's sleep, followed by a first-rate breakfast. Disappointed that it was no longer a pub. However, the owners were polite and helpful, with the overall experience overriding any notion of initial disappointment. A value-for-money experience. Thank you. (Sorry about the... More

Stopped here for one night with our 4 1/2 month old boy and it was perfect for us. A large room with four poster bed and plenty of floor space for his travel cot. (One not supplied but was made clear on booking so remember your own if you need one). Nice clean rooms and very friendly staff. Would recommend.

We stayed in the suite which was well worth a little bit extra for the privacy. Both the room and the bathroom are very large. What I really appreciated was the fact that (especially as there is not much else nearby) there was ample tea, coffee and milk in the room for an overnight stay. Shame that they do not... More

The Plough is a former pub now solely run as a B&B. It's a lovely old building (thatched, of course) and is in a handy location for Didcot, Abingdon and the large Milton Park commercial estate but far enough away for a nice sense of detachment. The rooms, of which I have stayed in two out of about ten, are... More
