We spent 2 nights in October here. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The team so friendly and helpful. lovely touches like fresh milk for the tea in the room. The location is quiet and picturesque. I would highly recommend this for a country retreat.

Hello - I can confirm there are no restaurants within 0.5 mile of Monk Haven Manor as it is in quite a remote spot. There is the local village pub which is around 0.5 mile. We did not eat there - I believe the food is OK but nothing great. There is a Tea Room which is open during the day and serves very good, fresh food but no good if you are looking for an evening bite. Taxi to Dale or further afield are only alternatives unless you wish to drive yourselves. Patrick
